Sweet potato Hitler won, now what? What am I going to have to hide? The fact that I'm queer? That I'm disabled? That I'm afab? We're going to go back to the fuckin 40s with how women were treated, I'm not gonna be able to do anything for myself anymore and I know my partner (who lives in a different state) was going to kill themself if the election went this way, but now what? The person that I've loved for almost 3 years might be gone, and I might join them, I can't do this shit.

Probably going to delete this eventually mostly because I'm not a political page, but here we go.

Everything that's happening in the Middle East makes me fuckin disgusted, and the people who say that Palestine deserves it, or that Hamas has done worse, or just general defense for the literal war crimes and complete extermination that's happening, it's just all so disgusting. I've had politics shoved down my throat from a young age, and I'm still young at 18, but it truly disgusts me that everything that's happening is what happening, and there's enough uneducated people that are just siding with Israel in America because they're "allies" and not actually looking at what's happening that makes me sick. My own parents are part of the "Well, maybe if Hamas didn't..." crowd, and I want to gag everytime my mother laughs at me telling her updates and showing concern for the "enemy", the enemy that's being wiped out day by day with no remorse because of a group that was probably not even 10% of the male population and 0% women and children, and yet you find videos of bodies of children being blown to bits because Israeli forces "saw IT move". I'm so fucking sick of feeling like no matter what I do or say on the matter just gets drowned out by the stupid I'm surrounded by.

I'm tired.

I'm sick of being told that I'm eating too much when all of my servings have been reduced to baby bowls for my own sake. I'm tired of having to play therapist to not only my own parents, but also to bratty people in my school who think buying off brand items makes them poor. I'm tired of being told I'm so mentally mature at 17 when it's really just I've gotten screamed at for crying or showing emotion that isn't dull or fake. I'm tired of being reminded that my body is not my own or 'pure' anymore. I'm tired of being reminded that my partner has medical issues that could kill them overnight. I'm tired of high school, of home, of life. I'm so fucking tired all the time. I'm sevenfuckingteen and didn't get a childhood and no chance at a normal teenage hood. I hate looking at myself and thinking 'I could've done better.' I'm sick of hearing from adults who don't know me that I'm just a brat who thinks they have it hard. I don't want to be anything substantial when I grow up, I just want out of it all. I wanna do what people my age do; hang out with friends, work a shitty part-time job in retail, have a life to themself. But I'm stuck playing referee for two adults who weren't ready for kids and put all of their expectations on the Rainbow Baby, only to find out I was a rainbow both literally and metaphorically. They loved me when I was little, but then my little brother came along and they tossed me aside, and shunned me when they found out I was gay. Gods forbid they find out that I'm trans, that I have online friends, that my partner I talk about is long-distance, and that there are days I want them or myself dead. I feel so fucking trapped and while my graduation is less than a month away, I'm still going to be stuck. They want me to pay for myself almost immediately after I graduate, but they don't trust me to drive and don't think my work ethic is good enough, as if they've ever seen me try. They think I'm a brat for wanting to dye my white hair so that my peers don't find out I've been greying since I was twelve and going white since my freshman year.

can I be honest for a second

I actually kind of hate the treatment argenti got when he came out

sure. he’s a playable 5 star, got his own companion mission, and as well as a boss fight.

but comparing that to other characters, he literally got almost the bare minimum.

sure not every character has a companion mission, but those characters will usually be apart of other character’s companion missions or even in events centred around them (take sushang and guinaifen for example).

and while argenti is one of the few playable characters to have a boss fight, the others still have more than him

gepard may not have his own companion mission, but he was a main character in serval’s and even received visitor verification after you complete it, as well as the fact that he actually stands somewhere in belobog so you can talk to him whenever you please. plus he was also in the main story quest, just not as a prominent character. and as well that he’s a boss and is fightable in world 3

yanqing on the other hand does have his own companion mission, has visitor verification, is a fightable boss in world 8, had a very brief appearance in the main story quest (if I remember correctly) but was also complacent in two other companion missions (kafka and jingliu’s), and is available to talk to whenever you please.

kafka has her own companion mission, while she doesn’t have visitors verification. she’s one of the main antagonists in the game and is quite important to the lore (it’s unfair to compare her to argenti but you get the idea, so I won’t elaborate on the other things she has)

while argenti has:

-no visitor verification

-no appearance in any main story quest

-isn’t available to talk to whenever you please

-isn’t in any events so far

you can argue that “dr ratio and ruan mei are new characters and they aren’t bosses, available to talk to whenever, etc” but they do have main story quests (one for each actually), ruan mei has technically her own event (it’s based off of her own creations but they’re HERS and plus she has her own cat design so) and they both also have visitor verification.

maybe im just overreacting or just too impatient considering that argenti only came out in the second half of 1.5!!! and plus he’s gotten loads of attention outside of the game with hoyoverse buying the naming rights to a specific kind of rose species and naming it after him and holding a whole exhibition!!!! you know!!!!

but it kind of does suck with how his companion mission was so good, but the ending just felt very incomplete for me? like it feels like they didn’t know how to just properly end it so we got that (not that I’m complaining though I loved his quest). and as well as how he didn’t even receive visitor verification??? despite expressing his wishes to return???? they could just pull a seele, bronya and jing yuan with him but at least with those three they didn’t really have like an opportunity in the story for that to come around (if that makes sense) and thus them being added months later. but it’s different for argenti, considering how all three of them don’t even have a companion quest while argenti’s only main appearance is him having one.

argenti in my opinion is definitely one of the more underrated male characters and idk it just really sucks because I love him a lot and it kind of hurts to see how he isn’t getting as much attention as newer male characters like dr ratio for example.

Sorry if you're here for Ultrakill, we talking about Honkai: Star Rail for a second to talk about the new local pretty boy knight, Argenti, and his obsession with Idrila and death. Huge fuckin spoilers for the newest quest btw so there's your warning.

So before the final Argenti fight, after he announced his plan to get out of the train and stab the bug that swallowed said train, he mentions a few times that the closer he gets to death, the closer he gets to finding Idrila again. That makes me wonder if Idrila isn't actually the Aeon of Beauty/Love, but rather Death. Think about it. The Knights of Beauty are so focused on finding the Aeon that they can't seem to find anywhere, until they have near-death experiences? Like, y'know, jumping out of a train in space in a bug's stomach to kill the big from within? That doesn't sound like something an Aeon of Beauty would do to a follower. An Aeon of Death, though? Makes perfect sense. Also think about Argenti's design for a second. He's adorned in roses. Roses represent love and beauty, yeah, but they're also harmful. They can hurt a person just from touching them wrong, and often, roses are laid with dead bodies in caskets. Once again, not something you would think an Aeon of Beauty would want associated with them, but an Aeon of Death would be proud.

At the end of the day, Idrila could be an Aeon of Death, or I could really be outreaching and overthinking. But Argenti's words put thoughts on my brain. So.
