With a comment like that, Quinlan was now extremely curious just as to what he had heard. He was certain it was probably through Obi-Wan or Anakin, but curiosity would get him on that. It was something he would have to remember to ask later. The Jedi nodded in response, quickly forming his plan to attract attention. He chose to simply jump out in the open and go toward them, knowing it would turn the fire to him but he did not care. Vos knew he could handle it. "Come on, I'm right here! Surely you can aim better than that!" he said mockingly toward the droids, a smirk as he kept going. His eyes split between the clones moving forward and the droids before him.
"So I've heard," Rex replies in response to Vos's remark about knowing how to attract attention. Then again, he supposes all Jedi are attention magnets. It's hard to ignore someone clad in billowing robes wielding a deadly laser sword. "You do your thing, I'll do mine. On the count of three then? One, two... Three!"

❛ No one ever really gets used to nightmares. ❜ (for Quinlan)
"Couldn't agree more," Vos said, sighing as he looked up to the night sky. He paused for a moment and closed his eyes for just a second before opening again. The pause allows him to get lost in the beauty of it, to get his mind calm. "Nightmares used to be mainly Dooku... now it's everything else since." He knew Obi-Wan was aware of what haunted him and what since entailed, but he felt like a soft vent to get it temporarily out.

The fight was intense, even more so than he expected at first glance. However, he felt it was nothing he could not handle. He kept his eyes on him, giving the man his full attention as he walked closer. Vos stood tall, lightsaber at the side. It remained at the ready, not knowing what or how the man intended to proceed. The green still shined within the environment of the throne room, a look in his eye showing he was ready for whatever he would throw at him next.
He nodded at the man's words, battling his urge to speak in reply almost immediately, choosing to pause carefully. Vos knew that his wit and humor which normally served him well, would likely be of no benefit when dealing with Count Dooku. In fact, he suspected it would make the situation somewhat worse. The man's reputation left him feeling wary of said usage. He knew he would have to reign in his natural inclinations.

This was not how he expected this little trip to go, but he was adaptable to the situation. He had to be. It continued to be slightly troubling, but he knew he could handle it. He was looking ahead, trying to make heads or tails of the view ahead. There were sounds but they were barely audible. For the most part, it was quiet in the tomb. It was dark, but he knew he could handle it. He had begun to trek forward when words left her lips.
He stopped in place, turning back to look at her with a slightly raised brow. "No, I haven't," the Jedi lied, almost immediately to sound like the truth. It felt so easy to him to lie. 'I should tell her the truth, but if I tell her the truth then it will end in a fight.' He knew he had to bring the artifact back to ensure it did not get into the wrong hands. It was his goal, his mission.
Perhaps Talon was unlucky, but the amount of times she entered a Sith tomb only to find it raided or find raiders in the process of doing so had increased. Her new goal may not be the research that went into finding a way to activate her holocron, but rather hunting down raiding vermin.
There was a difference between them and her - she had not come to plunder to sell and auction. She had come with respect, wanting to learn and to discover. To honour. It angered her how the resting place of the Sith of old was treated.
She had yet to find out why the Jedi was here. "You haven't come here to take anything away, have you?" she asked, yellow eyes narrowed. "If you don't want anymore trouble, get rid of those raiders with me and I could be of help to you in return."

She stood tall, her lightsaber to her side as she regarded him. "That pride won't always serve you as well as you think, Cal Kestis." She always made a point of including his name, believing it would make the hunt feel even more personal and pressing.
She does not make a move to get in a stance, she just simply holds the saber to her side. Her head tilted slightly as she spoke in return from behind the mask, hesitating just a second before responding. "That name means nothing to me, does it mean anything to you?"
❝ I've already managed once, pretty sure I could do it again. ❞ His grip on his lightsaber tightened as he shifted into a ready stance.
❝ Does the name Cere Junda ring any bells? ❞

My entry for the amazing @forcefatalezine with a double page Illustration of Trilla Suduri / Second Sister. I made this in June and I was sooo excited and hyped to be part of this Fanzine Project and being able to draw my absolut favorite Star Wars Character. I had 4 Concepts in mind and the majority of the people preferred the angst-y one besides the 3 bad-ass ideas. The idea of this Illustration is set way before the events of JFO, when Trilla just became an Inquisitor, struggling first to accept her fate and hunting down people until she is losing herself ultimately becoming the person she became in Jedi Fallen Order. The reflection in the window should be her as a Padawan. I wish we could have seen her Padawan version so I just had to wing it and stayed with the traditional robe (although I have another concept of her as a Padawan, would you like me to share those at some point?) Thanks to all the Mods in this Fanzine Project for their amazing work. <3
