YOO DAEYEON

daeyeon was the first male born member of his family, his three full blood siblings are all female. two are older, one is younger.

he was born in brighton, utah. it’s a really tiny tourist town about 40 minutes outside of salt lake.

his best friends growing up were his sisters, as well as his mother’s friend’s son, jinsoo.

when he was six, his parents split. his father moved to korea, and his mother stayed in utah. all the children chose to stay with their mother.

age eight, both parents remarry. age nine, his maternal twin sisters are born. a few years later, a paternal younger sister, and a paternal younger brother follow.

at age 12, he and his oldest sister decided to move to korea and live with their father.

he then finished his last year of middle school, where he found his love for acting and duing musicals. for high school, he auditioned to sopa and got in.

daeyeon loves attention, so it only made sense for him to audition at an entertainment company. he auditioned for gaia, as he felt it was a good fit. originally, he was training to be in a group, but after a talk with the ceo, decided he would rather focus in acting.

he is a multi-talented idol who has strengths in singing, dancing, and acting, as well as a strong variety skill and large presence. daeyeon is very up in your face and exciting.

in his first year of high school, daeyeon struggled with his developing eating disorder, self harm, and was coming to terms with his anxiety. with help from gaia, he was able to get medical for his anxiety, however he still struggles quietly with his minor eating disorder.

still in his first year of high school, he questions his identity. who is he? demigender seems like the best connected with him, but only his friends know. this could hurt his career in the future, and he doesn’t want that, so he keeps it secret.

daeyeon has had a few cameo and smaller roles so far, but as the year progresses, he hopes to at least land a larger role to expand his career.

he’s also been featured on a few osts.

he finds the rivalry between companies entertaining, unless someone is coming for gaia. he typically doesnt take part in the disliking by company, but once someone comes for his friends, he is the first to defend. but if someone comes for him, he shuts down immediately.

DALISAY CRUZ “Julian”

She was initially a ballad singer, brought to Korea by her mother to audition for companies, and signed by the first tiny one who saw her. They didn’t have money or enough trainees for groups, nor did they have the budget for big flashy music videos and music show appearances, so they relied on Dalisay’s voice. She sang ballads. She was good, but not good enough to make a lot of money, so she was forgotten.

Gaia was her savior. She knows they were only interested because she’s not Korean, but she’s grateful all the same, and she loves Eternity so much. She loves being surrounded by so many girls and so much love.

ALEXANDRIA PAEK “Bom”

A Canadian-Korean girl with very traditional parents, it wasn't surprising that Alexandria was made to learn Korean her whole childhood. Not surprising, not the most fun, but very useful as it seemed, because all through middle school, the Vancouver native fell in love with KPOP. Why was it that her homeland was so much better at performing than her adopted one? She was fourteen when Gaia came to Vancouver recruiting, and she would have been stupid not to audition-- Alex performed a Sparkle song, hoping to god it would be enough, and it was. It probably helped that she was already fluent in Korean. She was the last member picked for Eternity, selected just before they left for Vagabond, and she's going to be the last one announced. She's scared, but so so excited. She'd grown up on this, and now she gets to be part of it. She’s most excited for her stage name-- Bom. Korean for Spring. The new beginning for Eternity.

NASRIN NGO “Venus”

nasrin was born on 970327 in luxor, egypt. both of her parents were internationally recognized scientists which required the family to relocate many times. nasrin was named after the nurse that helped her mother. not too long after she was born, her parents moved to the united states where they spent a majority of their time in new york. nasrin lived in manhattan, specifically, until the end of grade school. her parents had to move, yet again.

most things in her life weren’t consistent. her parents presence, staying in the same rented house more than a year, keeping friends and always having to adjust. the only thing that kept her sane was music, dance and vocal specifically. nasrin enrolled in multiple dance classes and vocal lessons, inside and outside of school. whatever she was offered, she took. being on stage and putting on a show made her happy and the most comfortable.

this time, her parents moved to their native vietnam. nasrin was entering middle school at this point and this is when she decided to take music more than just a hobby and on a serious level. her parents were disappointed at first, since they wanted their daughter to follow in their footsteps, but nonetheless supported her in what she wanted to do. in vietnam, nasrin took traditional dance and singing lessons from her grandparents’ friends. the family moved, again.

they moved back to the states but this time to california. nasrin finally gained courage to post music covers on youtube. she started out small until she gained a massive following since she branched out to using different social media platforms. she even gained notice from a few stars on twitter. it wasn’t until she got scouted online that things became real.

a gaia recruiter had noticed some of her music covers that went viral and sent her an email. ironically enough, her parents next move was going to be in south korea. time flew and eventually the ngo’s head out to seoul. days passed until it was the date of nasrin’s audition and she presented the judges the best performance she could have ever done, since she spent days perfecting everything. the judges constructively criticized her singing, saying she had a powerful voice but she just needed to train it properly. she soon became a trainee for gaia in late 2014.

she worked as hard as she could. her parents stayed with her for a little while until their jobs required them to move again. it was extremely hard to live in a foreign country when nasrin didn’t speak an ounce of the language. nonetheless, she pushed and pushed through. if she wasn’t practicing dancing or singing, she was studying korean. her dreams and hopes were all on the line if she fell behind. she went so far, she couldn’t just give up. plus her parents were rooting for her. her hard work soon paid off when she was announced as part of the line up for gaia’s newest rookie band, eternity. nasrin chose the stage name venus since it was less of a mouthful compared to aphrodite. she is so utterly giddy to debut and showcase herself to the world. she is excited to debut with her members since she’s known some of them through the duration of her trainee period and were some of her first friends. nasrin isn’t sure what to make of the rivalry and sort of expected it but she stays neutral on the matter. she’s really worried on how the public will like the group and like her but she’s trying her hardest not to dwell on it. for now, she sticks to her trainee routine of practicing and studying as she waits in anticipation for her soon debut.

SINITTA THONAHONGSA

Sinitta was born Nadech Thonahongsa-- a boy, born in Hat Yei Thailand to doting parents. He had always had an affinity for the arts and for drawing and painting and designing, and in his teens, decided to take a chance and study abroad, attending arts schools in Seoul, South Korea. He was never really sure why he picked Seoul. Something just drew him there. But he was so glad that’s where he moved.

It was in college that he met his future wife, and she was the love of his life. His soulmate. His everything. They were two sides of the same coin, and after three years of steady dating, Nadech proposed when he was 24, and they were wed later that year. Nadech got work doing album covers and posters and teasers for Gaia. Life was good. Everything was complete.

Except it wasn’t. Because the more life settled down, the more Nadech realized he really wasn’t happy at all. He didn’t feel comfortable in his own body. The more he researched, the more he found out, and the more vocabulary he had to explain what he was feeling. He was a she. He was trans. He needed to be a woman, he was a woman trapped in a man’s body. And while she got some closure in learning that, it opened a whole new can of worms and worry, because Nadech was married. How would his wife react to his new discovery?

He went into a depression, keeping his feelings deep down in fear of scaring his wife off for a long, long time, but finally, he couldn’t take it anymore, and when he was nearly 26 years old, he came out to his wife, and thank the lord, she was accommodating. She was so kind. She understood. And with her at his side, Nadech began his transition.

Sinitta has been living as a woman for two years now. Between her and her wife, they had the funds to pay for the necessary surgeries Sinitta needed to feel less dysmorphic. The hormones are doing wonders. Sinitta feels calm, and peaceful for once in her life. And while it’s unconventional, she does feel grateful to have had that time as a man-- without it, she and her wife would not be legally married thanks to backwards marriage equality laws. It has all been a learning experience, and there’s still so much farther to go, but Sinitta is just happy to have her wife at her side during this journey

YOON YONGTAE “Tae”

AGE: Seventeen COMPANY: Gaia International POSITION: Trainee FACECLAIM: Lee Donghyuck “Haechan” PLAYED BY: Jordan

As the baby of the family, Tae had plenty of siblings to look up to. People probably expected him to take after Minsoo or Youngjae– they were the oldests, after all. They were a little too old, though– already busy with highschool and homework when Yongtae was a toddler. No time for their baby brother.

No, Tae always idolized Siwan. He was kind to everyone. He was passionate about what he loved. And he was determined– always working towards his dreams and ambitions. Tae always wanted to be just like him.

Aside from Siwan, JIsoo was Yongtae’s closest sibling, but that was more due to their ages– there was only one year between them, so they always got grouped together anyway– that was a lot easier when they got along, which they did most of the time. While Jisoo didn’t look up to Siwan quite like Tae did, she did want to be an idol someday. Both Tae and Jisoo were good dancers, and watching their older brother debut and become huge inspired the pair of them to audition for themselves, both making it in the first time.

Siwan keeps a close eye on Tae, and he’s thankful for his brother’s guidance. His Korean still isn’t the best (he grew up in the Philippines), and definitely not as good as Siwan’s, but he’s working on it. He’s the last Yoon in the game left to debut, and he can feel it coming soon– Gaia has been working on Eternity for forever, now. A boy group has to be next. While Siwan pops in and keeps an eye on him when he can, Tae doesn’t see a lot of Jisoo anymore. That’s okay, though– he knows she’s busy. Plus, he’s made friends in the trainees, too. 

He’s a little naive sometimes, always trying to find the good in people, and making sure everyone is smiling. While he is kind and friendly, he prefers to stick with his friends. It can come across as a little shallow or cliquey, but it’s who he’s comfortable with– he can’t help it. Tae doesn’t really buy into the rivalry, but it’s only because he hasn’t thought too hard about it. Gaia is his only reality. He hasn’t 100% realized that there’s more to the industry than everyone in Gaia being friends.

SUNG SOOYOUNG “Garnet”

Imagine this– you’re seven years old, and you’re hanging out with your friends at a park near your house, doing homework– or more accurately, ignoring it. All of the sudden, some strange adult you don’t know approaches you, and asks if you’re a model or something, because you’re gorgeous and have the makings of one. You feel uncomfortable, but you take their business card and give it to your parents. Four weeks later, you’ve been street-casted as a trainee into DS Media

That was Sooyoung’s origin story– casted for her looks, her vocal talent came along later, and while dancing was her weakest skill, she honed that too in her nine years as a trainee at DS. Though they were holding onto here, and Sooyoung felt as thought she was good. Too good to be shelved. So she left, auditioning everywhere until Gaia picked her up

She just recently got added to Eternity’s lineup as one of their few Korean members, and she’s excited to be an ambassador to the incredible talents that make up Eternity. The official first month girl, she’s ready to show the world what she’s got....finally.
