Needless to say, Gabriella didn't exactly need help rehearsing her lines. Grease was... easy to remember in a way that most plays weren't. Even if she wasn't super familiar with the material. After all, she'd been attending the play practices, working with Gem, and she'd watched the movie a handful of times.
But there was something... incredibly alluring about practicing lines with the person who was playing the same character as you. And it didn't help that it was a fun excuse to have some fun with Mim.
The young girl was refreshing and interesting. She tasted good. It wasn't a hardship keeping her around; even with the whole Prom fiasco behind them. (Which admittedly was something they needed to really talk about but it was fine.)
So she hadn't hesitated long to text Mim, asking her to come to her home to 'rehearse'. And she'd made sure to dress comfortably yet alluring to hopefully entice Mim into some non-play activities.
The knock on the door was expected and Gabby answered it easily, leaning just slightly against the door frame as she looked over Mim. "Don't you just look delectable."

Gabby turned at her name being called and regarded the man standing in front of her. He didn't offer his hand, which was strange but not too uncommon. Manners were a thing of the past it seemed and she worked hard not to be annoyed by it. But still, she offered him a smile as she nodded.
"That would be me. Or I suppose for all intents and purposes you can call me Rizzo." She gave a small laugh. "You definitely fit the part of Kenickie. Do you have any experience in the theatre?"

NAME: Gabriella Krasimira AGE: 24 (still), 515 MAGICK STATUS: Vampire; Out OCCUPATION: Performer at the Court of Miracles CURRENT LOCATION: Swynlake RELATIONSHIP STATUS (IF APPLICABLE): Single CHILDREN (IF APPLICABLE):  N/A BIOGRAPHY:
Fifteen years was a long time for Gabriella to stay in one place. Typically a new town was home for three or four years before she needed to move on to avoid any questions about why she didn't appear to age. There were only so many excuses that could be given, after all.
But something happened in Swynlake that she'd never thought would happen.
She told another about her true status as a vampire. She hadn't planned it. The words had simply... tumbled from her lips in a moment of true weakness. The pain and loneliness she'd felt since Vanya had been so violently taken from her had overwhelmed her and it made it all too easy for her to speak the truth.
Of course, that person had been sworn to secrecy. Not compelled like she would have done to any other person.
And then two years passed. Then three, then four. And as the years passed, it seemed that more and more of her kind came from the wood works. Just like it had time and time again, the world was changing. This time in her kinds favor.
Another three years passed before someone asked Gabby why she still looked the same and instead of fleeing Swynlake to find another home, she'd just told them the truth. She was a vampire. An old vampire.
Things have been a little rocky since she made the announcement. Gossip had a habit of spreading like a wildfire and Gabby found her name the hot topic of conversation but eventually it died down enough that she didn't feel the need to defend herself anytime someone asked about this rumor or that.
For once Gabriella is eager to see what other changes the world will make. She can't wait to see how the gala turns out and how everyone will respond to the new laws that are being put in place for Magicks like her.

Honestly, it was nice to have someone help her with these things. Of course, she would still keep Jessica at arms length but it was nice to have her offer the help. To have someone she could potentially let in because they were nearly the same. A vampire and a half succubus. Both looked at with fear because of what they were. There was a camaraderie there that couldn't exist with other people.
But she was also getting ahead of herself there and while the future was both far away and so very close, she had more important things to worry about. Like showing off her magnificent house and once again being the center of attention.
"I think Monday would be best. That way we can recover some from the weekend." That way she could have Sunday to prepare herself to have guests. Both mentally and physically. She assumed that, like the house warming parties Vanya had thrown in the past, it would more than likely take place during the day. Perhaps early afternoon. She would have to get the gardeners to make sure her grounds were impeccable. Another detail she would have to remember for another time. "It may not be ideal, especially because it is a work day, but late afternoon could be best? After work hours for the people with normal jobs. Should I hire a caterer?"

Gabby waved a dismissive hand. She was over the slight before he had even apologized for it. Once upon a time she would have held a grudge or demanded something more than an apology from him. She could imagine the rage that would have poured from her, the agitation that would have eaten her up and proved him absolutely right in whatever assumptions he had about her.
"Don't worry about it," she hummed, looking around them. A habit she'd picked up in her time alone. There was no longer anyone watching out for her, making sure that her interactions were safe and not suspicious at all. It had made a small part of her paranoid but she could easily push it away to focus on other things.
Like his next statement. She could offer him a list of things to do in Swynlake. But where would the fun be in that? "And how do you know I'm not a recluse myself? Only come out for dire needs or whatever?" She gave a teasing smirk before shrugging her shoulders. "I'm still figuring it out myself, honestly. I know there's stables, that sounds like something right up your alley. I tend to hang around the clubs. The Court of Miracles and Pixies. Just depends on what type of crowd you want."

There was something Gabby enjoyed about watching other people take in art. Something she learned from Vanya, no doubt. But it was still interesting to her. To see their reactions to it; to see how it affected them. This exhibit was no different.
All around them people whispered about the meanings of the paintings they observed or tried to distinguish different parts of it. Many looked on in wonder while there were a few who just looked puzzled at what they were supposed to be seeing. And then there were the few like Mim who were wide eyed and eager to take everything in.
The painting that Mim looked at was interesting. The way the snakes twined together, looking more like an intricate cord or vine than they did snakes. That was something she enjoyed about art as well. Sometimes it was all subjective. Beauty in the eye of the beholder.
"It is interesting. I had thought it was a cord or rope. But I see where it could be interpreted as snakes," she replied easily, taking a small step towards the painting in question. "The patterns on each are done incredibly, don't you think? It makes them blend together in a way yet also makes them stand out. The more you stare the more you see."
@madmagicmim
"Oh yeah? I guess that means you'd better show it to me," she smirked up at the older woman. Although strictly speaking, she should probably be against a single woman owning multiple cars considering the environmental impact and the fact that cars that were able to go fast were usually totally gas guzzlers.
But also. She really wanted to ride in the fast car. So she might save her principles for later. Who knew? Maybe it was some kind of new fancy electric thing? A girl could hope.
Then they walked inside. She hadn't been sure what to expect when Gabby had invited her to this, but she was pleasantly surprised. The art that surrounded them was beautiful and vibrant, the clear shapes of women illuminated and abstracted in a way that caught her attention and kept it.
Her attention was pulled away by the arrival of the artist who she smiled at, but didn't have a chance to say anything before Gabby was puling he away to start walking through the exhibit.
"Yeah it's amazing. And - oh look at this one! It looks like snakes!"

Just as expected, Aquata didn't shy away from her challenge. Not that it was much of one. This was Gabriella's place of work so she wouldn't cause too much of a scene. God knew she didn't need Roscoe or his brute of a brother kicking out one of the few interesting people that came into the club. She enjoyed Aquata and her type of conversation and flirting.
She was a challenge and Gabby appreciated those just as much as she enjoyed an easy conquest.
"Well, nothing too showy. I wouldn't want us to get in trouble with the bosses," she smirked, unable to help herself. "Though I'm not sure there isn't much that wouldn't get this little town talking."
@aquata-the-champ
Adults had always told her that growing up. That her name was beautiful and she shouldn’t shorten it or whatever. But Aquata was just being realistic. Maybe if she lived in the sea where everyone had names like that, she would just stick with it. But this was land, where Aquata’s class growing up was full of Megans and Sarahs and Caitlins, and Aquata’s name stuck out. Not in a good way.
“I don’t know if I’d say I prefer it, but I do seem to cause one whether I mean to or not,” Aquata said with a shrug, matter-of-fact. “It might as well be an interesting one. What are we fighting about? Or, otherwise, what else did you have in mind?”

There was a point in time where Gabriella could understand that sentiment. Not going out on her own. Once upon a time, she'd be accompanied by Vanya anywhere she went. Not because she needed a babysitter or a chaperone but instead because she enjoyed the company the other woman offered. Liked sharing things with her. So she often didn't go places alone. And once the incident had happened, Gabriella didn't go out hardly at all. It didn't feel natural.
It still didn't feel natural sometimes but Gabriella was learning that she had to do things on her own now. It was simply how it was. If she wanted to continue living (something she wasn't truly convinced of some days) she would have to get used to it.
Working at The Court was certainly helping with that, thankfully. Having the purpose of getting up and performing, receiving praise from beautiful strangers. It was nice to have that again; to have that attention focused on her much in the same way Holley was sitting there talking with her and offering conversation and praise.
"Well you must treat yourself sometimes. Otherwise things get incredibly dull." She laughed softly, reaching forward to rest her hand against Holley's arm. "And besides, you'll have someone here who'll look out for you. Because I do expect to see you more often now that I know we have so much in common."
Holley helped out with reviews sometimes for work — of events around town, of new dishes in local restaurants, and whatnot. She liked doing it, since it required a certain analytical part of her brain. It was more fun than some of the fluff pieces she wrote about cute farm animals or what not, though she wouldn’t consider herself a critic.
That being said, she did enjoy a night out without having the thought in the back of her mind that she might
(Of course she was here for work, technically. As in, she was here for the RAS to just keep a general eye about things).
“I’ll have to do this more often,” she said. “I don’t usually go out on my own, but it was nice to just appreciate the music by myself. If that makes any sense.” She laughed a little, still disarmed by how beautiful Gabriella was. “I’m not very musical, but I’ve always appreciated the arts.”

Going out for the town play had been a bit of a laugh for Gabby. She'd of course put on a show trying out for Rizzo and apparently it had won her the role. Which only made sense, she was the best option for the bad girl with a soft heart deep down.
It wasn't the role of Sandy but that was more than fine by her. The tale of the good girl changing herself for the bad boy was played out. Not to mention she did not look good as a blonde. She preferred her dark hair and her edgier character.
The only way it would have been better was if the town had been a little more progressive and cast another female as Kenickie. That way, maybe, she'd get some interesting rehearsals. Now, she supposed, she would actually have to rehearse with her scene partner.
She'd arrived a little early to rehearsals, wanting to scope the place out and possibly meet her on-stage love interest. Setting her bag down, she looked around at the people that were already milling about to see if she could recognize the mysterious Gem Morey that would be playing Kenickie.

The sun had begun to set and with it so did the headache that Gabriella had sported the majority of the day. How she could have moved to what was supposed to be a gloomy corner of the world and it turned out to be sunny so much was beyond her. But it was fine. Totally fine. It just meant that she got a couple hundred more sunglasses and got to pull out her ridiculously large brimmed hats. How sad, truly.
But the sun set and Gabby could really start her day.
By most standards she was a little late getting to work. Rehearsals would probably just be starting and it was bad form to be late to those but it didn't matter much when you could just compel people to forget that little fact. And she didn't need the practice. She knew the songs, knew the moves. If there was one thing Gabby knew how to do it was enthrall a crowd.
So, no, she wasn't worried about being late as she made her way to Hatter's first. There was just something about his teas that she enjoyed. It was an indulgence she could use. At least that was what she told herself as she reached forward to pull the door when it opened and she nearly ran straight into...
"Cora," she smiled easily, not at all upset with the turn of events. "Very narrowly, I'd say. Thank goodness for your quick reflexes."

Well, that was nice to know. Being typically unbothered by nosy neighbors was important. More important than she wanted to let on to her... friends. It would be better if her neighbors (and her friends) were kept more on the outside looking in, hoping for the barest glint of her life.
"I'm sure I won't have to worry too much. Neither one of them sounds like your headache of a neighbor. And, honestly, I don't think I'll be doing too much to the front of the house." She teased gently before taking another sip of her wine. She gave a little hum as she pulled her legs beneath her on the couch and got a little more comfortable.
"But this house-warming/welcome party... I think the more we sit here the more I enjoy the idea. You'll help me stage the house? And get everything ready, right?"

Gabby: I don’t know if I’ll go every time but I think going twice will be enough to properly enjoy it.
Gabby: anyways from what you’ve said it will be worth it
Gabby: Oh my. That sounds very interesting.
Gabby: I’m really excited to get to do this. It sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun. We might even have to go see it a second time.
Gabby: Well, I’ll be sure to make sure there’s no change in that (;
