AU in which the gang gets together again at the end but i get to pull fingernails off jay merrick in return

I've said it before but the operator is an otherworldly creature, a metaphor for mental illness and probably is unable to feel anything. But I wholeheartedly believe he is jay's number one hater. If we think of it as a leech, it tries to take and feed on people that are like, worth the fight. No need to waste the energy you won't get back.

So in this AU the gang came together at the end and literally made themselves not worth the fight with, I'm not kidding, the power of friendship and prescription drugs. Strength in numbers and allat.

BUT once again, in this AU the operator evolved due to sheer hatred towards jay and is now able to feel rage. To extents i deem comedic nothing more. So it hunts jay down nonetheless

So as long as jay keeps doing the things to keep the operator away (socializing, taking meds, ignoring it) it can't seriously harm him (except for a few nosebleeds, headaches or nightmares).

But jay DOESN'T do all that, instead, now that he is somewhat safe, he tries to figure out how to get rid of it permanently and keeps bumping into it

Cue the ghostbusters/sally face shenanigans in which i put jay merrick through even more horrors and the gang has to save him time and time again

Since im a sucker for time travel fix its, farm arc thorfinn waking up in the past and meeting his teen self. This idea includes:

Thorfinn gaslighting his teen self (karlsefni) and askeladd that he's actually karlsefni's uncle and the boy just forgot about him (lying through his teeth and being awful at it)

Karlsefni definitely tries to fight him at some point after getting a talking to about being a kinder person and thorfinn wipes the floor with him (on accident) (peacefully)

He tries to get his younger self to go back home but all he achieves is being the most suspicious person possible ("yes I'm actually uuuh 32 and my name is thor- thorgal. And uuuuh im a farmer. Yes a farmer from iceland. I love farming and wheat.”)

Maybe sometime later after sweyn's assassination, he can take both karlsefni and askeladd (who survives due to fuck you i make the rules around here) back to iceland

I dunno but i need to write some older thorfinn meeting askeladd and then him just slowly realizing THAT'S THE GUY??? THAT'S THORFINN?
