This is my Holocene by Bon Iver-inspired illustration. This is one of my favourite songs as well as one music figures of all time.

‘Holocene’ by Bon Iver-inspired illustration piece. The atmosphere of this one of my favourite songs and the green fields and meadows surrounding my studio inspired me to go for this subtle muted down palette, with pale blue blending in with greyish pink and earth green to frame the composition.

This one is about being human. The first idea for illustration was sparked by the lyrics of the song ,,And at once I knew I was not magnificent’’, so it’s about realisation of imperfection, human limits and temporarity. To me it’s about the fact that we’re human - we’re not super heroes, not perfect and can’t make up for everything to everyone. It’s about rise and fall, being high on the top for a long time and crashing down, failing someone else’s expectations.

Coming to terms with my own imperfections and things I can’t change is lifting off the weight of perfection seeking that can make me unhappy and lead to burning out. Even though I’m not magnificent, I can still become the best version of myself.

It's here - my very first album cover project, Mannazz ,, HOPES ''. I still haven't held it in my hands but damn, I can barely contain the joy and excitement just of seeing the happy faces of my clients! I am so proud to have been a part of creating something so beautiful together with you guys! I'm not trying to be cocky, but it looks so lovely in the photo and it means a lot to me <3

So here it is, my newest illustration that took quite a long time to make and pushed me away from my comfort zone with all that spacial composition and anatomical challenges. I'm proud to say this is my best work to date, which is what I aim for with every new piece of illustration.

This one is the first one in the song lyric illustration series and was inspired by a Lithuanian song ,,ORE'' by Beissoul Einius , namely the line ,,Mes liesimės upėm, mes liesimės rankom'' (we're gonna flow by rivers, we're gonna touch by hands). The poetry of this song gave an initial impulse for illustration and then I sort of went into a loose interpretation of what resonated with me the most and decided to tell a story about love and celebrate the beauty of connection between a man and a woman and especially marriage, that society is trying to subvert in different ways, but in my short experience is the best investment one can make in a lifetime given the fact that more than anything, humans are pack animals and a pack begins with two.

You probably don't remember me, but we spoke a while ago - I've just seen your YouTube channel and I think it's a brilliant idea! really good to see that I'm not alone in getting myself set up and that we're facing exactly the same challenges as young illustrators. So I launched a youtube channel and here is my Vlog no 2! It’s very raw at dodgy at the moment, because this one is literally my third video ever made, but as I mentioned in my first vlog, it’s all about document vs create and I’m learning new things with every video editing <3

I was planning to crop this into a square originally, but since Mr. T voluntarily completed the composition with his fluff,  I had to leave it wide. Cause one does not simply say no to some extra fluff in a photo.
