In hindsight it's funny how we've been complaining about YouTube's copyright issues for so long, when Dailymotion lets you upload entire Disney films without doing anything about it half the time.
#i watched all of tangled the series and mysticons on dailymotion as a kid#man those were the times#youtube boycott

Some songs on Soundcloud have a download option, especially with more niche music artists. I'm also in the Discord servers of a lot of my favorite musicians, and they occasionally release downloads of songs for dedicated fans, so you could try that
Struggling with the Youtube boycott? Maybe this can help!
Apologies, I don't usually make posts like this, but wanted to share what I've found helps me, as well as what I think might help others.
Just trying to support creators: most of them have a Patreon or Ko-fi, and if not then maybe a fan Discord server, or even merch if they're famous.
If you're looking for where to find specific kinds of content, see below. And remember, Odysee is basically Youtube but less popular, so even if it's not mentioned you can probably find what you're looking for there.
Gaming: Twitch or Odysee both have a lot! You can also play the games yourself, or with some friends. You don't have to be good at games to enjoy them. I suck at like 90% of games and I still spend hours on them every day.
Music: Soundcloud is great!
Art/animations: short-form video apps (Instagram, Tiktok, Rednote etc.) have some pretty good artists on them! As does Tumblr and other more image-based apps, although that's more still images and less commonly animations.
Tutorials: if it's for a hobby or interest, then join a Discord server based around that thing and ask around. If it's daily life stuff, like fixing a computer issue or changing a tire, there are websites with image or text tutorials out there.
Video essays/informational videos: Odysee! If not, documentaries on streaming services scratch that itch pretty well for me.
News/politics: you can subscribe to any newspaper you want! If you don't want to subscribe, there are Chrome extensions out there that take the paywall off of news sites. You can also look at #politics on whatever social media you want, as long as you're researching to make sure you're not getting fed misinformation.
True crime: podcasts or TV.
Memes: any social media has memes! If you're attached to your favorite meme readers, check Twitch, maybe they'll have content there.
Longer-form story content (AITA etc.): Twitch or podcasts. If you want a personal recommendation, Oz's Vault has daily podcast uploads of 30 minutes and up!
Urban exploration/ghost hunting/etc.: TV shows maybe?
Sports: always on TV. If you don't do cable TV (honestly, who does do cable anymore), there are like a dozen sports-based streaming services. You can find most anything on those nowadays.
Movies/shows: see above comment about streaming services. There are also... other options (cough cough piracy) if you want
More niche special interest content: join a Discord server or browse the Tumblr tags. If you get bored of that, go to the sources section of Wikipedia pages for the thing you want and just click through! I've found countless documents in there that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.
"Challenges": I have no clue. Those seem to be mainly a Youtube thing. Try Tiktok maybe?
Kid-oriented content: lots of that exists on streaming services now!
Celebrity stuff: literally everywhere. If you prefer the longer versions of celebrity drama, there are always long Twitter threads or Tumblr posts explaining this stuff within a few hours of whenever anything happens.
If there's anything I missed, let me know and I'll try to make you some recommendations.

I find it very offensive that the more unwell you are, the more things you have to do to maintain your health. Things like following special diets, going to medical appointments, making big and important decisions about what treatments to use. At the same time, the more unwell you are the less energy you have to do all of these extra things. It seems grossly unfair.
#what do you mean i have to work out MORE because my joints hurt#i should be working out LESS because my joints hurt so easily#who came up with this. and where do i find them
