“What the fuck do you think?” It wasn’t so much a question as it was a challenge. “I mean-” he gives a long sigh “- look man. I don’t do shit to just try to be nice. So tell me what’s up and maybe we can do something about it.”

He may be smiling, but he most definitely will kill you.
“I might have eaten TOO MANY doughnuts in ten minutes.” An achievement that, ten minutes ago, he didn’t think was possible.
“I have some regrets.”

“Aw c’mon colonel,” always keep in mind the looks of someone in command. Take in the outfit, the stars, the badges, the hard look of another man who’s killed. Gauging people was always a skill Odd kept on hand. When you were at the bottom, it was good to be able to tell on sight who was at the top. That didn’t stop his jackass mouth from running. “I thought it was innocent ‘til proven guilty. Not the other way around.”
Of course that didn’t stop Odd from curling his fingers, testing the flow of life around them. He wont’ admit that he did do something, but it wasn’t meant as an assault. A little energy here, a little stealing of a person’s ability to perceive there. Odd was just trying to get by. Of course, people would be careful to pay attention to weird hand movements. And people trailing him. And Odd subsequently stomping someone without touching them, which then lead to MPs casually catching him AFTERWARDS.
But hey all in all a good day.
But he held out his hands. “Look. No circles. No formulae or weird hoodoo voodoo. Y’don’t got much t’go on here pal. Not even chalk dust.”
“So I’m just sayin’. Y’not gunna get what don’t exist.”
A hard glare was pointed down towards the restrained man, not entirely sure how to gauge him quite yet. They were a SMART ASS at the least. And whether his charm would sa- ve that ass or not, the Colonel wouldn’t let himself get deter- red by their words. Only glancing to their cuffed hands and stepping closer as he spoke,
“I’m sure we can get PROOF. For now you’re our only suspe- ct AND you’re not necessarily helping your case so…”

3,000 - 4,200 Follower Prompt Batch Special
“I’m cold in the way you’d least expect.”
“I wanted you to be scared of me.”
“Just take a moment to appreciate just how beautiful it is outside today.”
“I hate you more than you could know.”
“You always ask me to give things up, but when I ask the same, you back out.”
“You know, asking me to run is like asking for a miracle.”
“I could lie and say I do love you.”
“You’ve carved into my chest millions of times, but never has it ever hurt this much.”
“My hands had already been covered in red way before we met.”
“Of all the times you dare speak down to me, you choose now?”
“You were what I needed the whole time and I let you slip away.”
“I can’t imagine you being happy here.”
“I can ask around, if you’re looking for a roommate.”
“I worked hard to get where I am and I won’t go back. You couldn’t make me.”
“Say what you want, but you’re the one who brought this upon yourself.”
“I can’t be the only one to accidentally summon a demon.”
“You shouldn’t underestimate what you do not know or understand.”
“You left me on a doorstep and you think I owe you respect?”
“I wouldn’t consider making a pact with an old deity a good idea.”
“Remind me, again, why I hang out with you?”
“As if I could ever bring myself to trust someone like you.”
“Bad ideas are my forte.”
“All I want you to do is watch my back.”
“You’ve always stopped me from getting needlessly hurt. Let me help you this time.”
“I dream of realities that are not of my own.”
“You’re going to have to try harder to persuade me.”
“I don’t know what’s worse- getting stuck with you or knowing that if I had gotten stuck with anyone else, I would have been doomed?”
“There are things I need to do. I will not die here.”
“You couldn’t match me even if you tried.”
“That wasn’t even a scratch. Are you sure you’re suited for this?”
“I don’t consider animating the dead to be a wrong thing.”
“My judgement doesn’t reflect theirs. Don’t punish them for something that isn’t their fault.”
“I can’t see through all this fog. I hate fog.”
“You seemed so shy, but I know differently now.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever had a chance to meet a talking plant before.”
“Shapeshifters aren’t exactly common around here.”
“I’ve heard rocks make better counter-arguments.”
“I could stab you with the sharpest knife to ever exist and you still wouldn’t get the point.”
“I’ve always admired the way you’ve been able to move around your previous failures.”
“You and I both know that I can’t dance.”
“I’m not one for grand parties.”
“I heard singing, so I had to follow where it was coming from.”
“You don’t have to ‘fit in’ to be with us.”
“I’ve never known you to be so entitled.”
“Nothing like a good song to get you moving.”
“We’re right where we belong.”
“All through the night, you can see the lights.”
“I couldn’t hear you over all that noise.”
“You weren’t supposed to mean anything to me.”
“I don’t think I ever changed.”
“It’s like being back at the start where it all began.”
“There’s a select things you can actually blame me for and it’s not this.”
“The only thing allowed to bring me down is gravity.”
“Anger is the first thing to come to mind when I see you being successful.”
“I want my anger to be my motivation, since I feel it so often.”
“I know there’s a lot of things I need to do, but getting there is half the journey.”
“I’ve only ever known the weight upon my shoulders.”
“When will you admit that I was the best thing to ever happen to you?”
“I want to play a part in your life. Why won’t you let me?”
“There’s a lot of things you can’t explain and I’m sure this is one of them.”
“I just don’t want to listen to the two of you fight the whole time.”
“The fact I’m able to get anything done with you around is a miracle.”
“The wound you inflicted on me still hurts.”
“Every day, I can only thank that I’m still alive.”
“Seeing you was the worst part of my day.”
“If I had to choose between getting rid of my ears or listening to you talk for an entire hour, I’d get rid of my ears.”
“You keep pushing me and you’re going to find out why everyone calls me a monster.”
“Something about this situation is suspicious.“
“Stop asking me if I know how to love. I obviously do.”
“It’s hard to believe we’re actually related.”
“Ages ago, I used to think I would get sucked into that tub’s drain.”
“Can you believe all the experiences I’ve had lead up to this moment and I’m still lost?”
“We’ll think of a way to get around this. We always have and always will.”
“You couldn’t find a stronger person.”
“I believe strangers things have happened to us.”
“All I want to do is lay down and never get up.”
“You only leave the house if it’s cloudy or dark. What else was I supposed to expect?”
“I can’t believe I’m still in love with you after what you’ve turned out to be.”
“I’ve made bigger mistakes, to be honest.”
“For once, I think this is the only time I’ve wanted to be wrong.”
“You couldn’t match my wit.”
“I get all my bad ideas from you. What can I say? You’re my inspiration.”
“Stop being mad at me for your wrong doings.”
“When has failure ever stopped you?”
“I thought you wanted me to care?”
“There isn’t enough time in the world to show you how much I dislike you.”
“I find it absolutely hilarious that you think you can be as great as I.”
“You owe me a lot of things, but you’re only piling on the debt.”
“I wish I never heard your voice in my dreams.”
“I look at you and only see the worst.”
“Darkness cradles you just as much as light does.”
“There was never going to be a good ending in this story.”
“I’m sorry I ever made you think you didn’t matter to me.”
“Easy isn’t a word I’d use to describe our travels ahead.”
“Thinking back on what we’ve done, this is probably the only thing we could count as good.”
“I was never good at solving mysteries.”
“You never play fair.”
“This has officially been the worst day of my life and that’s saying something.”
“This reminds me of the time last year- nevermind. Let’s not go there.”
“If there’s anything that could bring me to the clouds, it’s you.”

The Morning After Sentence Starters
"Get out, get out, get out, get out!"
"Do you remember anything from last night?"
"Why are you in my bed?"
"I'd offer you breakfast, but I think I'm too sore to move."
"So.. Was it good?"
"Who topped?"
"I thought you'd be gone by the time I woke up..."
"I should go."
"This didn't mean anything."
"We shouldn't have done this..."
"Of course I'm freaking out! You're my friend!"
"I'm guessing this was a one time thing?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know how this goes. I'll grab my clothes and get out of here."
"Good morning, hope you don't mind me borrowing your shirt.."
"I made you coffee, did you want some Aspirin?"
"This stays between us."
"Congratulations. You actually convinced me to sleep with you."
"Are you sneaking out on me?"
"So, how much for last night?"
"Holy shit! she's on her way over here right now, she/he CANNOT see you!"
"Don't answer it!"
"Do you have any idea how wrong this was?"
"We're cheaters. We're horrible people. Oh god my mother would be so ashamed of me right now."
"..Do you wanna do this again sometime, maybe?"

@thelyricaldreamers
Odd glanced over at Phoenix for a moment when that specific word slipped out of the other’s mouth. He didn’t stiffen, or move away from the implications, but he didn’t say anything either choosing to instead brush it off with a wry chuckle. That was marginally better... probably.
"Well I did only plan on havin’ a drink or two. Not a fan of gettin’ absolutely sloshed, but you do you. Don’t worry, I’ll keep in mind where y’live.” Odd commented with a quick lopsided smile as he squeezed Phoenix’s hand gently as he moved to lead the other along. “An’ yeah... I’m talkin’ about that thing.” His tone was quieter, gentler when he said that. His smile softened before he brought Phoenix’s knuckles to his lips and gently placed a kiss, before letting their hands rest by his side.
The Go Lucky Tavern was a sort of rustic looking bar that sat on ther corner of the block. The sign that sat above the entrance was almost comically Irish, with letters written in some fancy Gaelic looking script over a bright green shamrock. The sign almost seemed to buzz with a low baseline of magic, signalling the establishment was a safe-haven, a place for supernatural and mundane folk a like to sit and enjoy their night. The mirrors out front were tinted, offering privacy to those on the other side.
Inside the tavern were floors made of wood, and the bar top on the other side of the room looked as though it was charred from a fire at one point, then reconstituted to serve its purpose once again. There were thirteen large pane mirrors around the bar, and the dark wooden tables around the area were set up in an almost random pattern. Wards to prevent any low level magic from interfering with business or the people with in. On one of the mirrored walls, the very same sign that was out front hung as a trophy. Its edges were charred and cracked, and beneath it was another sign that all together read “The Go Lucky Tavern. Telling bad luck to go fuck itself since 2010″.
Odd held out his hands as he walked in, releasing Phoenix’s hand for the provided gesture as he grinned at the barkeep, a tall redheaded man who smiled widely at the new customers. “Mikey! Y’fuckin’ Irish piece of shit! I need somethin’ that’s cheap an’ tastes like piss and a kick t’the face!” Odd ordered as he slid up to the bar with a shit-eating grin. He turned to Phoenix and gently tapped his chest. “Order whatever y’want, babe. This asshole’s a walkin’ alcoholic’s dictionary.”
🍺
“As much as I’m still trying to figure out how you convinced me to do this, I do like what you’re wearing.” Phoenix murmured, fingers lacing through Odd’s gently before letting go. He hadn’t been out much with him so he wasn’t entirely sure on the other males thoughts on physical intimacy in public.
They were going drinking. A terrible idea really. Phoenix didn’t actually get drunk persay, merely tipsy. His high metabolism didn’t allow for the chemicals to really mess with his brain unless he had a lot. “If I get drunk you’re going to carry me home right? Cause I don’t want some creepy guy to drag me down an alleyway.” Pause.
“Do you even get drunk?” It was something that intrigued Phoenix. Since he himself didn’t, he was curious as to whether or not it would affect Odd in much the same way.
#OTP: Of Tides and Fire#Thelyricaldreamers#Mikey's another character of mine and the Go Lucky Tavern is extremely important to me laughs#Also here's a response that's a lot longer than I planned it to be but I missed writing Odd A LOT#Oddly Queue't

The look on his face said that he really didn’t want to rely on other people, but he took a short breath and finally relaxed a bit, relenting on his determination to climb the shelves on his own. “Alright, sounds fine I guess.” He nodded before turning around and stepping his way to the mystery section. The shorter man pointed immediately at the top of the shelf. The Girl In The Spider’s Web. David Lagercrantz.
“Honestly I wouldn’t’ve asked for a ladder or somethin’, but it’s just barely outta my range.” Odd explained with a quick frown before stepping out of the way for the other to do her thing. He pocketed his hands. “So. How y’gunna do this without a ladder?’
Doing her best to hide the amused look on her face, she cleared her throat behind her fist to regain her usual neutral expression. Johanne had her own ways, not including climbing the shelves, to get books high off the shelf without a ladder. “All right, well let me see how high up it is and then I’ll see if I can fetch a ladder for ya, aye?” She was curious to see just how far up this man’s book was but he did seem ready to clamber his way to it.
Her boss only allowed the employees to scale the shelves; however, Johanne had a feeling the other couldn’t care less about it.

zennaphobia replied to your photo:Happy Munday folks! Here’s a selfie of my hair...
Still in fucking love with your hair
My old folks commented one time that my hair looked like fire. It’s really tempting for the next dye to add red to it. So it goes blue-purple-red (probably) if I can manage it.
That or I’ll just redye it purple before I go down to Vegas. I’m kinda digging the galaxy effect.

“You’re like, five feet tall. How you gonna reach me, shortie?”
Did that motherfucker just.
Odd stared at Alistair for a moment. Just a moment. Just long enough to let Alistair know he fucked up before he stepped up to Alistair without warning. He won’t admit it, but he did use his magic to pull a good amount of of Ali’s strength into him with a flick of the wrist, allowing Odd to overcome any resistance and slam Alistair into the ground.
Like a bitch.
Odd crouched down so he could look Ali in the eyes.
“Now who’s reaching for who?”

Sass Starters!
“It’s a real shame nobody asked for your opinion.”
“Excuse you?”
“I could do that, but “could” doesn’t mean would.”
“You cannot fathom the immensity of the fuck I don’t give.”
“You’re like, five feet tall. How you gonna reach me, shortie?”
“Let me tell you exactly where in hell you can go.”
“Fill a cup with your tears so I can drink them. Gotta keep hydrated.”
“I’m sorry, was I talking to you? The answer is no.”
“You couldn’t train a rock, much less a pet.”
“You couldn’t land a hit on a mountain.”
“Isn’t it past your bedtime, brat?”
