What's the point. During one of the discussions about Choco, I joked that it would be funny if Choco got a side ability because of Lily, or rather, because she became a fairy.

And my bro joked that this ability would be to understand the language of insects (I know that insects do not speak, I repeat, do not look for logic in this phrase). And here's the situation, Choco sleeps in the woods and wakes up to two burnt-out voices. When he tries to figure out where the sound is coming from, he finds ants arguing over who found the acorn first.

The story of this AU takes place some time after the events of Beast-Yeast Episodes 3-4, 7-8, & 9-10— the awakenings and implied/as seen returns of certain Ancients. I focus not only on Dark Choco's story, but there is another in parallel to him which you'll see eventually C:

Dark choco having been given longans child in the form of a seed by millennial tree and having to raise it after longan perishes in the war.

And finding out in due process that maybe he wasn’t a hard or difficult child to love after all because this child that’s not even truly his, evokes such a visceral reaction out of him.

This child that was supposed to be longans to raise, this child that is not even a mortal cookie

This child that evokes such immense feelings of love and warmth he never knew he could have. Ones that he never knew he was capable of feeling.

Him finally understanding that it was never implicitly his own fault that dark cacao didn’t know how to love and show it to his child.
