an ethereal, hauntingly beautiful film in the style of the “The Last Unicorn” with drama and themes of loss and destruction and redemption through love
except it’s called “The Last Marsupial” and it’s about how opossums are the last remaining marsupial left in North America since they were the only one that could compete long-term
same fairy tale vibes, but it’s set in West Virginia and all the talking animals have southern accents instead of British ones and the background music is like blue grass and banjos
