Hewwo! I love a good AU and i can already tells yours is going to be up there. i don't want to ask for too many spoilers but how does ceroba act with Frisk? Do they bake a pie like toriel? Though I guess in this case maybe a Greek Treat?

oh wow redswap was a while ago I'm gonna have to look through a bunch of my old files

actually---i think ceroba was one of the hardest roles for me to figure out due to some of her core values in canon, and how I completely switched around her relationship with chujin in redswap. because, well. ceroba’s main theme is about devotion/dedication in canon (as well as legacy), which she expresses with her continuation of chujin’s work as well as. everything else about her character. but i essentially have to flip that on its head when i swap ceroba with toriel, because one of her main principles is against chujin’s ideology. (which, for spoilers, i won’t be too specific about)

but to be honest: frisk doesn’t interact too much with ceroba during the pleiades stage—since the area is significantly less deserted compared to the ruins. in a way, it’s a town in of itself, so there’s a lot you can do in order to kill time (additionally, blossom doesn’t betray frisk immediately and pretends to be allies with them for the first few parts, so the scene where flowey jumps you doesn’t happen.) you honestly find out more about ceroba through walking around the town. however—at a certain stage frisk does meet ceroba. she’s quite friendly, taking the time to actually speak to this kid and give lore about the current state of the underground. but, she’s also worried about their future if they decide to head outside into the mainland. in her mind, pacifism doesn’t do much in the face of absolute resolve.
