Hello everyone,
My podcast is still going strong and a few days ago I upload our first ever episode with guests! Joey Min and Steph Pham from Art School Dropouts joined me and my cohosts to chat about the Jet Li movie, Fong Sai Yuk.
If you don’t know Art School Dropouts’ work, this is one of their “test fights” they shot during the pandemic.
youtube
I’m super proud of this episode mainly because it was so much bloody fun.
If you want to give it a listen, you can search for “Fu for Thought” on all good podcast platforms or you can just click the link below...
Go on, give it a listen. I talk about one of my best mates punching a girl in the face (accidentally). If you like the episode, we have 50 more you can listen to. How about that?
If you do listen (and you should), let me know what you think. Unless you think we’re wankers. Keep that to yourself.

This week Cyrus, Devan and I discuss what has been labeled the worst martial arts movie of all time, Miami Connection.
Is it as bad as they say? Are there ninjas on motorbikes? The answer is yea to both.
We also discuss Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, bad dates we’ve been on and our internet search histories. It’s a right old knees up.

On Monday (Jan 12th) at 6pm EST, I’ll be going live on YouTube with the Art School Dropouts crew! This will be my first interview of any kind so, obviously, I’m shitting my pants, but I think it will be loads of fun. I respect these guys so much.
If you want to tune in, that would be super dope. Otherwise, I’ll post the video afterward.

Due to all the bollocks going on in the world lately, we decided to not do Battle Royale for next week’s episode. It just seemed too dark and not all that fun. We’ll probably save it for a later episode.
So instead we decided to ramp up the insanity and do an episode on Miami Connection. If you’re not aware of the movie, it’s supposedly one of the best “so bad it’s good” films out there. I’ve never seen it but judging by the trailer, I’m going to love it.
This episode will be available Sunday, January 24th.
If you want to watch the movie prior to the episode (and you should), it’s available on the Hi-Yah! streaming service which is about $5 a month or, if you don’t have that, it’s available totally free (with ads) on IMDB TV which should be available to everyone.
After Miami Connection, this is our schedule...

We also talk briefly about season 3 of Cobra Kai and, later on, I give my co-hosts a bunch of “Would you rather...?” questions.
Links to all podcast platforms can be found at www.linktr.ee/fuforthought

The Spirited Away bonus episode of the podcast is now available! As always, follow the link below or search for “Fu for Thought” on your favorite podcast platform.

Whilw the episode was loads of fun, I do need to apologize. Cyrus’ audio isn’t the best. He had technical issues on his end and it sounds a bit muffled. It’s still legible...just not as good as last episode.
This will be fixed for next episode.
If you want to hear us chat about the movie as well as cartoons we grew up with, cheesy bedspreads we once owned and Christmas music, give this one a download!
And, as always, subscribe and rate us if you can!

This week we’re delivering a bonus podcast episodes and we’re taking a massive diversion from kung fu movies. We’ll be chatting about Spirited Away.
Tumblr media
Devan famously hates anime but me and Cyrus are hoping that this will be the one to win her over. After all, who doesn’t like Spirited Away?
The episode will be available December 20th. If you have any questions for the episode - whether they be about this film, any film, music, life etc. - just DM them to me.

We’re heading back to the Shaw Brothers studios this week as we discuss 1984’s classic The Eight Diagram Pole Fighter.
Tumblr media
If you want to watch the movie before you listen to the episode, it’s free to watch on Amazon Prime Video. For some reason it’s not on Netflix anymore even though loads of Shaw Brothers movies are.
We’ll also be talking about Devan’s ever growing love for all things Scott Adkins and I’m sure I’ll mention my favourite kung fu movie of the year...which I just recently watched.
Do you have questions you’d like to ask us for this episode? They can be about anything: movies, music, tv, books, life, your embarrassing sexual issues... Just shoot me a DM and I’ll ask it.
Cheers and thanks for listening!

We discuss the 2015 Japanese zombie movie, I Am A Hero. We also chat about what weapons we’d use during a zombie apocalypse, the ins and outs of being a sea captain and what horror movies we think are overrated/underrated.
We also got new recording equipment! So we sound sensuous and erotic.
Send any feedback my way. Next episode, we return to the norm by reviewing the Michelle Yeoh movie, Royal Warriors.

This week is our Halloween episode! While the obvious choice was something like Mr. Vampire or Encounters of the Spooky Kind, I decided to go for something a little different. This week we’ll be discussing the Japanese zombie movie, I Am A Hero.
Tumblr media
If you want to watch the movie before listening to the podcast, it’s $3.99 to rent on Amazon Prime Video. It may be cheaper elsewhere...I haven’t looked.
If you like, you can listen to older episodes of my podcast here.

Cyrus is right keep the flubs I love 'em
Me and Cyrus are massive fans of movie/tv bloopers. We quote them all the time. I think it’s only fair that I adhere to thing I love and leave my own bloopers in.
“Fu for Fought.” I’m an idiot.
