Urgent! Save our lives before it’s too late! 😢💔

The fierce winds have torn apart the roof of our tent, and the heavy rain has flooded everything around us. We are living in our destroyed tent, with my young child shivering in my arms, and my sick mother-in-law cannot bear this freezing cold. After hearing In the news about children dying from the cold, I wake up every night terrified, placing my hand on my child’s chest to make sure he is still breathing, and every moment that passes increases my fear of losing him. 😭💔

Your help has been the reason we are still alive, and thanks to it, we were able to buy this tent, which is now in ruins. We are facing a winter like none we’ve ever seen before 😓

We are in urgent need of everything that can save our lives: blankets, winter clothes, and warm covers to protect us from the freezing cold. Most importantly, we need strong tarps to rebuild our destroyed tent, which cost a lot. 😥

Please don’t let our cries be lost in this freezing cold. Save us, and give us hope to stay alive. 🙏🫂

Baby Ayla and her family were in their tent today when the IOF suddenly appeared and began firing on the tents. The family barely escaped with their lives, a bullet having narrowly missed baby Ayla’s head!

They had to leave their tent and most of their possessions, which are now under IOF control and are irrecoverable.

They are currently on the street, with no tent, no blankets, no food, and no clothes other than what they were wearing when they had to flee for their lives. They are literally just sitting in the dirt under the night sky.

Ayla’s mother Bashaer @bshaeromars-blog is trying to get Ayla to sleep, but Ayla is too cold and uncomfortable. The low temperature in Gaza tonight is just 47 F or 8 C. They are starving, freezing, and totally without resources. They DESPERATELY need funds for a tent, food, and other basic necessities!! The tent alone is $3000

On my hands and knees begging adults to allow children to engage in risk play.

And by risk play I don't mean handing them a gun and playing Russian Roulette.

I mean like climbing trees, getting so sick spinning on the swing they throw up, balancing on the curb, sitting in the mud, walking on slippery surfaces, building half ass ramps to ride their bike over, standing on rocks, or anything that involves a smidgen of confidence and out of the box thinking that could result in injury.

Obviously like watch your kids and such, but when we talk about the fun of being an 80s or 90s kid, it's not just talking about CDs and Walkmans or not having iPads. It's about how kids today were robbed of critical learning and experience skills we were allowed to have.

Playgrounds disappearing, helicopter parents, and sue culture really destroyed a child's development in the United States, and I think it's about time we as adults recognize that, because the kids sure have.
