i sit down to write and suddenly i am the most distracted human alive. the chair is uncomfortable. my coffee is too hot. my playlist isn't quite the vibe. i need to research what victorian houses smelled like in 1872 for exactly 45 minutes even though my story takes place in space. and yet the moment i'm trying to fall asleep? every single sentence i've ever needed just lines up perfectly in my brain like some kind of creative parade i'll never get back.

i really fucking love lisa swain cause I can just picture her mid-makeout sesh w carla being like 'maybe we should call betsy and let her know we're official'. i also really fucking love carla connor cause she was probably just thinking that it'd be a fun opprtunity to torture betsy in a controlled setting by making her think it was abt the robbery. aaand i really fucking love betsy swain because as soon as she realizes she's not in trouble she figures her mom dating carla is better than juvie and proceeds to order a fuckton of food. they're soooo stupid, all 3 of them.

imagine her being in the hospital, knowing how bad it can get, knowing she’ll only get sicker, knowing she’s used up the last of her luck. imagine her saying you don’t need this and you’re better off leaving while you can. imagine her tearfully admitting i can’t be the one who does this to you again. imagine her thinking it’s her final act of kindness to let lisa go.

now imagine lisa standing her ground. imagine her saying it doesn’t matter—that she’s here and she’s staying and they’ll fix this. imagine her being the one telling carla to breathe, the one who is resolute that there can only be one outcome. imagine her holding both of them up when carla loses hope. imagine her sleepless nights searching for answers. imagine her saying i love you. you will get better.

i’ll make sure of it.

This might have been the most vulnerable and honest they've ever been with one another - actually explaining/discussing their feelings and worries rather than just hiding behind a sarcastic wall of snark. Acted beautifully. Ugh I'm too young to be this invested in a soap help
