A lot of media about J&H seems to think that Hyde was entirely trying to take control of Jekyll’s mind and body and wanted to never change back. Which is just wrong. Entirely. Hyde was willing to transform back and desperately wanted to at the end. Jekyll lost control of WHEN it happened, but I don’t believe that was Hyde’s doing. The only reason he couldn’t change back at the end was because of the salt he needed not being available anymore. Even as Hyde became more of his own person he knew he needed Jekyll. Idk where I’m going with this anymore I lost it gang.

simon stride's commitment to being a hater has to be commended tbh. not only did he decide henry jekyll was his mortal enemy, he a) told jekyll's soon to be father-in-law that jekyll should die, b) made the board meeting entirely personal even though he was there in a professional capacity, and c) when jekyll turned into hyde at the wedding reception he made it his foremost priority to point this out to lisa. just to be vindicated. legend
