What indiexmusic said! <3
Electro-pop is basically my favorite thing ever of all time ever. Broken Back's Halcyon Birds is a prime example of everything I love.

I have lived and studied in Liverpool, and I know for a fact that many good thing comes from that city. Thomas McConnell is a fresh and new example. This lovely scouser has created a unique sound, showcased through his two-side single, ‘CROCODILE’. Being inspired by Paul McCartney’s medley styled songs like ‘Band On The Run’ and ‘Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey’, Thomas McConnell explains how he created ‘Crocodile’: “I wanted to apply the twists and turns of that kind of songwriting to a jagged 70’s-esque/Glam rock track with dense Beach Boys/ELO style production and hazy synths”. The track embeds a true feel-good vibe, reminiscent of the eclectic pop/rock sounds of the 60’s and 70’s, which can easily be compared to David Bowie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zombies, just to mention a few. Not only has the 21-year old written, composed and arranged the track all by himself, he is also performing all instruments and vocals, and co-produced it with Jon Lawton. He is know from the open-mic scene in Liverpool, yet he has also toured with several bands, like Glenn Tilbrook, Ian McNabb and China Crisis (I’m especially fan of the latter, as Eddie Lundon used to be my songwriting teacher). And if that’s not enough to impress you, his cover version of Paul McCartney’s “New” was shared online by McCartney himself! Thomas even goes all the way with his Mod-inspired haircut and suits, that’s dedication and authenticity, two important key words to succeed in the music industry today, which I know he will! Download Thomas McConnel’s two-side single “Crocodile” either on iTunes, or stream it for free on Soundcloud, or watch the music video from YouTube here!

The WEEKEND is finally here, so what better way to get the party started than to listen to this awesome song by PRIORY!?? I recently stumbled across this American ELECTROPOP band, and I am eager to explore their musical universe. 'Weekend' starts off sounding like a slower tune, but the chorus really hits you in your heart, and makes you forget about everything boring that's happened earlier that week. The song is the epitome of a normal week in a normal life, where the only highlight in life is the weekend.
Other perfect songs to kickstart the weekend:
Class Actress - Weekend
Rebecca Black - Friday (Admit it, at least once, you've had this in your head on a Friday!)
Tegan And Sara - Everything is AWESOME!!! (feat. The Lonely Island) (Come on, this song is AWESOME, guys!!)
Breakbot - Baby I'm Yours - feat. Irfrane
Have a great weekend!!!!
If you need an awesome party PLAYLIST for tonight's pre-drinks, follow my SPOTIFY playlist here: From A Sound Distance.

I have been a big fan of URBAN CONE since I came across their album OUR YOUTH in 2012. My favorite track from the album is of course URBAN PHOTOGRAPH, yet today I noticed a Spotify ALERT that URBAND CONE had released an AiYLO REMIX of their SADNESS DISEASE, and oh man, was I happy! I listened to it on my way from the gym, and everything just felt so RIGHT. The song struck a huge nerve in my HEART, and I am in LOVE! The song enjoys all the elements of which Urban Cone is made up of, and infused with AiYLO playful and organic sound, this remix is a great PLEASURE to body and mind. This is the first remix released by AiYLO (Fredrik Sonefors), and I am intrigues to hear more from this SWEDISH champ. It feels like forever till summer, but this song makes the wait less painful. Bring on SUMMER, with roof top parties and CHAMPAGNE! I am going to DANCE to this track every day (or at least every WEEKEND) until summer is finally here. I AM IN LOVE WITH URBAN CONE and AiYLO!

Kevin Steinman, a former Minneapolis artist who now resides in Oslo, Norway, is one of several artists protesting what they regard as poor Norwegian climate change policy.
In support of the Norwegian Church Aid’s climate campaign, Steinman performed a cover of Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is” in a video that appears on the campaign’s website. The campaign claims that “the only natural disasters we accept are ear-worms,” and so artists have been backing the cause by playing well-known ear-worms in protest.

The drop after 2:00 is sick! Definitely longing for summer now!!!
If you’re a sucker for melodic, uplifting house music, you must check out this new remix by Las Vegas producers JackEL and Fame. They take super collaboration song Gold Skies, by Martin Garrix, DVBBS, and Sander van Doorn, and they create a helluva radiant banger. It’s a summery burst of warm energy.

So in love with this album (sorry for the crap photo). Taylor's songs are inspirational and empowering. Btw, got the record player for Christmas, so this is the first vinyl i bought. I need to get proper speakers for it, so if you know somewhere I can get them cheap, let me know!

I miss new releases from Miike Snow, but Make Love makes the void easier to cope with. Love their sound! @makelove
I have found so little new music in 2015 that I really really like that it’s a blessing to have Make Love find their way into my inbox. Almost reminiscent of Hot Chip or Miike Snow, this is their debut, Head Up.

If you love electronic music, you have got to check out MaVe! The Norwegian duo's tracks are dark and emotional, featuring elements of drum & bass, trap, dub step and rock. Feed My Hunger is MaVe's latest release, accompanied by an amazingly creepy yet awesome music video: http://youtu.be/2xfPoBqPBbY
MaVe's much anticipated 4th single, Unforgettable Love, is rumoured to be released first week of February. All their songs are available on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud and YouTube, and if you're in the area, the duo is playing their first ever gig in London, at Seebright Arms, 24th of January! I can't wait to explore more of the thrilling musical universe of MaVe, but in the meanwhile, I'll be boosting Feed My Hunger, Monster and I Sleep Alone through the speakers. So should YOU!
Much love.
