GOALS FOR 2025.1:
read more philosophy (like, twice as much)
get more in depth with Marx, Freud, Davis, Aristotle and Bauman
work out 4x a week (2x gym and 2x dancing maybe? I miss dancing so much)
have my Master's project defined by the end of this semester
earn money in some way (scholarship, twitch streaming, freelancer jobs...)
improve my mental health (not giving up on therapy, work on my anxiety and anger issues, "get tested" for autism or whatever it is that is really wrong with me...)
I wrote this back in August. Here's how it went:
List of things I want to achieve in this last college semester (2024.2):
start a commonplace notebook 🟢
write my thesis 🟢
enter 1st place in Master 🟡 (got into the master, but in 6th...)
have a sports routine, exercising about 3 days a week 🟡 (exercised twice a week, but stopped for 3 weeks in november)
sleep before midnight so i can wake up early and rested 🔴
reduce even more my consumerist tendencies and my support to big corps 🟡 (still buying stuff, but 80% of it is second hand)
🟢: done ; 🟡: in the process of doing it / half done ; 🔴: not done
It's been hard, really hard. But I guess it's something, even tho I didn't achieve everything. Hopefully next year, when I will be in Master, things will be better.

i know that life isn't a race and that everyone does things on their own schedule and that i shouldn't compare myself to other people who haven't lived the same life that i have and overcome the same obstacles i have. BUT

I'm almost in vacations. I have done my German test, my Philosophy of Religion final assignment, handed in my thesis... Ihave one assignment left for Intro to Philosophy on the 11th. After I get my grades, I'll have officially finished college. On the 9th I'll finally know if I got into the Philosophy Master's program of my University and, if so, with or without a scholarship. Hopefully I'll get it, cus I really, REALLY need it.
Anyways, I haven't been productive for almost a month. It's been a week since I have last had to attend a class, and I stayed home almost all the time. I manage to see my friends twice on the weekend, and went to the movies on Tuesday, but the rest of the time I was depressed at home. But today things are changing! I can no longer keep rotting in my room!!! So here's what I did today:
finished reading Max Fisher's The Chaos Machine
started writing a paper I want to submit to a philosophy magazine (let's pray I'll get it done by the deadline)
went to watch a conference of analytical philosophy from 1pm to 3:30pm.
washed the dishes (been doing this the whole week tho, everyday)

if its not AI, they probably did it at the last minute.
This year’s spotify wrapped is so lame. No specific slide for all the genres we listened to this year? No personality types or some other fun thing? This looks as if someone made it yesterday, disappointed

I haven't posted in a while because I was so tired! I applied for my Master's Degree at the end of October, then 5 days later I sent the finished version of my thesis to my advisor and he made corrections on it during the weekend. He sent it back to me last Monday and today I've finished the corrections and I'm ready to send the final version of my thesis to him.
I also finished the readings for my Philosophy of Religion class and today presented a seminar at the class. I actually hate this class, but it's mandatory so i just had to deal with it against my will. Finally I'm done with that class!!!
I have to read some texts this week for the Intro to Philosophy class but it's not gonna take much of my time. I have to study german, as well. I didn't go to german class last thursday bc I was busy editing my thesis. Anyways, I feel so much lighter now that my thesis is done, i have applied for the Master's program and i'm done with Philosophy of Religion. Ugh it was a rollercoaster!!

New book added to the list! This absolute beauty arrived today, and I'm starting it rn!! This is a required reading for my Portuguese Lit. II class this semester. Eça de Queirós is probably the most famous naturalist/realist author from Portugal, I've already read Primo Basílio (Cousin Bazilio) and liked it a lot, so I'm very excited for this one (A ilustre Casa de Ramires - The illustrous House of Ramires)
"O Fidalgo da Torre recolheu para o Bragança, impressionado, ruminando a ideia do Patriota. Tudo nela o seduzia - e lhe convinha: a sua colaboração numa revista considerável, de setenta páginas, em companhia de escritores doutos, lentes das Escolas, antigos ministros, até conselheiros de Estado [...] e enfim a seriedade acadêmica do seu espírito, o seu nobre gosto pelas investigações eruditas"
Hope you guys have a good week and a nice reading session :)
