happy bi day visibility day!

also i was finally a giant octopus in session yay!

Happy pride month!!!

I wanted to paint something that makes me happy for pride, and tiny watercolor octopods do the trick :D

I stuck with the 4 basic groups of LGBT (+ ace, bc I’m ace :>), but I would love to paint more! So if you’d like to see a specific flag painted in octopus, leave me an ask or reblog it with your request and I’ll add on to this post!

Stopped the notes

Whelp. I stopped taking notes/journaling. A few reasons for this. One, I was remembering things that I shouldn’t have known in the first place - like something that was shared with a team member but not me. Two, I wasn’t remembering the things I should because I was too busy writing them down. Three, I wasn’t able to make notes, effectively role-play, and keep track of gameplay. Now I focus on roleplaying more and staying in character. 

It has been assigned to me from DM:

I want you to write me a 3 paragraph essay about what Freya’s original motivations are based on her origin story. 

Me and my father go out to a treehouse and watch the wildlife together. One fateful night, a creature travels through a portal. I had never seen a portal outside of my father’s books, nevertheless, a beast coming through one. My father grabbed my hand and we ran down the tree, through the forest and towards our cabin. Just as my father scooped up my little sister and threw us both inside something grabbed him. I slammed the door behind me and pushed all my weight against it. I heard my sisters and mothers cries. The creature beat on the door and the screams suddenly stopped. My once white hooded cape my mother embroidered for me was now stained red. I didn’t notice that whatever the beast was that chased us had wounded my father and I was lying there, alone, crying, and soaked in his blood.

As I grew up alone in the woods, I learned everything from my father’s journals. I learned carpentry, some spell magic, how to communicate with the plant and animal life. After years of enduring nightmares, I finally gave in and decided to figure out what kind of creature destroyed my family that dreadful night. I packed a bag, some books, and wandered my way into town. I saw the ad for the tourney promising gold, and information. Nothing more valuable to me than information if I was ever going to shake the night terrors and avenge my family’s murder.

So far I have found new family in my traveling companions. At times, they have helped me understand what is happening to me and other times I have saved them from certain destruction. Since joining this adventure, I have learned how to navigate and control my night terrors in a sort of dream walk. I am still understanding when and how to use this skill but it sure does help to practice. Socializing during this adventure has helped me rebuild familial relationships. With both Echo and Exodius, I have become better with sharing, helping others, and trusting people. My moody seasons have sometimes negatively impacted me but overall have helped during difficult times. Selmi has quickly become my sidekick and I am feeling better now that I have learned to trust her - almost completely. She reminds me of my little sisters.

Developing my circle of the moon has allowed me to channel my deep rage. Anytime a stranger or enemy approaches, I have to make sure that I don’t ‘teenage it up’ as the guys like to say. I do try to be classy, and diplomatic but if they come at me - even a little bit - I am liable to multi-attack my way to a groin assault as a full on brown bear. I recently have learned enough information to wild form into a giant octopus also. I haven’t really tried that one much as water doesn’t seem to be as normal in these regions.

I don’t know how being a member of this group will help me 

And then describe how she thinks of the events that have happened so far and how she believes she has progressed in pursuing her goals. 

Describe the details that she is looking for in her search and what would motivate her to take interest and pursue something further, based on its connection to her past. 

It’s not a test or anything, I want to motivate you to always be considering your character’s motivators and perspective and not just take the path of least resistance, as well as knowing how I can tie my story into it.

We beat the fairies. Met Cornelius, Percy, Cindy, Mr. Beriston, Lady Eladria of the animated tea cups. Arrived at Rock Creek Quarry. Minotaur stares at us. Echo decides to run in and light the place up - offending many strangers simultaneously - we do not know why. Cringe. 

Echo saves his damn self.

Long rest & dreamwalked - Giant wasp, giant frog, and old lady. Darren and Big G are there. Big G is suffering and I try to freeze him to examine him. I learn he is filled with dread. He is traumatized, I reach out to bond with him but the willowhisps reappear and 

Woke up in Autumn. Feeling friendly today.

And we’re stuck in a 40 ft hole. We eventually get out. I see Fey portal? Echo becomes small black cat during combat with Raina (one of the green hags). Magic makes some of us very sleepy. Echo kitty does return to his usual form. Pixies go for Big G. Bear covered in blood. Ursula and Raina destroyed.

Depressed bear from near death leads to depressed girl in winter. I climb tree and hide. Notice ‘illusion of trees’. Chaos ensues. Spiders attack. Bear almost destroyed but survives and pulls Dick’s spine through his groin. Echo finds magic robe with all the ladders and gold.

Talking and dreaming

Exo: dreams about Amunda

Dreamwalking with Daros: I dream about feywild and the purple and blue colors turn nightmarish and I follow voice ‘Come to me’. I want to find him, voice gets stronger but I don’t understand. ‘Follow my voice my child’ and ground vanishes, ancient Eladrin man calls himself Doros Shin. I talk with him and his while eyes and white hair look odd but familiar. He knows my father, he says the feywild is not forever lost. Bloody beating heart appears like a Cronenberg film. Daros says, ‘Beware your enemies are able to find Dreamscape. Then he leaves.

Investiage Maisoner estate, $ from Crowley to kill witches.

Darren has horse. Blessed cast +4 to all rolls?

Darren is the worst.

Reptile creature tugs on my cloak and follows me to narrow place. She notes dreams, the ‘fey’, no malicious intent, shows me portal to feywild (it’s a swirl of colors), she gives me dry herbs, tells me to practice chants, rubs blue powder and puts rune symbol on forehead.

Courier arrives with message: ‘Come back at sundown - only you are a messenger of fate’. We return to Rodents Inn.
