lolita is more than just a fashion or an aesthetic to me, it's a way of life. it's like becoming a piece of art every time you get dressed. viewing the world through bow tinted glasses. everything is beautiful and frilly and cute. your heart may ache but the touch of lace on your skin soothes your soul. so many painful things in this world but your petticoat gives you courage to go on regardless. it's the wind under your wings after you've finally escaped the cage. a freedom you could never imagine until the first time you donned a coord and entered the world. peace and love in the form of frills.

This coord feels so nostalgic to me for some reason.
Coord Breakdown:
Jsk, blouse, headbow: Bodyline
Socks: off-brand i don’t remember where I got them lol
Underskirt: thrifted
Petti: old thrifted Tripp tulle skirt lol
Shoes: Target
Bags: off-brand, thrifted and convention purchase
Wristcuffs: handmade 🖤
Future coord notes:
I wish my peeking bloomers were just a bit longer and that I had black and white striped socks, that would make this coord exactly what I was envisioning. Maybe even a plush rabbit bag especially one from dreamy pebble 🩵🤍🖤

Sewing Haul: Country Check Series
I did it!I I finally finished my Country Check series, just in time for spring. I really enjoyed making this outfit, and I’m fairly pleased with the end results.
As some long-time followers know, I have a lot of extra fabric lying around my house, and I wanted to use up as many of my old supplies as possible (especially since I might be moving again). With this in mind I set myself a goal: make a new set as cheaply as possible, using as much of my pre-existing stock as I could. I was feeling very inspired by 18th century pastoral aesthetics and old-school Lolita at the time, so I decided to mix-n-match the two. By the end I managed to make myself a skirt, tote bag, hair bow, apron, bloomers, and mobcap, all for under $200. My determination to dress on a budget knows no bounds.

This is so beautiful!!!!
I made a cap! It's based off a pattern from otome no sewing 16, but I made the top heart shaped instead of circular.
Look closely and you can see heart-shaped top stitching on the brim!! I adore it 🥰
