Potential Solution: Continuing with the theme of things in their natural setting. Came across this little critter by almost walking straight through it.
I am aiming to bring out the detail of the web itself and want to somehow reduce the city background; either make it ambiguous or a rainforest background.

Potential Solution: More Brisbane travel shots. These photographs are tourist AF (not autofocus...) however the aim is to incorporate the two images into a collage photograph.

Inspiration: The above photo was taken near Adelaide Street in Brisbane, Australia. The pixellated/mosaic clouds reminded me of work by artist Allyson Grey (bottom left) who specialises in psychedelic art as well as partner Alex Grey.
The colours and texture of bus seats were another inspiration during Brisbane travels; I am aiming to somehow create a photograph that will incorporate the cloud mosaic in a way that captures aesthetic and texture of the attached images.

Potential Solution: Brucey the Gala! Using layers and repetition for a subtle and effective psychedelic aesthetic.
Bruce was a very cooperative model, and produced fabulous photographs which I will be including towards final folio.
Technical: Images captured on Sony A7. f/5.6, 1/160. ISO2000. Background palm tree image sourced from copyright free resource (Unsplash.com).

Inspiration: Wildlife and nature, things in their natural setting. The colours have been reduced to accentuate only yellow as seen in the eyes and and ground.

Potential Solution: The Never-ending Cereal Bowl, what a dream! Attempted blending the bowl over a zoomed in layer of cereal to achieve a seamless flow of visuals.

Potential Solution: Another random find in the Brisbane walkabout (left). A random street light which made me immediately think of a spaceship. The aim is to superimpose the streetlight over the NASA image for an extraterrestrial effect.
Technical: Image captured on Sony A7. f/11.0, 1/125. ISO100. Background NASA image sourced from copyright free resource (Unsplash.com).

Inspirations towards Fine Art Photography: The work of psychedelic photographer Karl Ferris uses heavy saturation and also manipulates hue to achieve hyper-realistic colours.
These are some techniques I will be using in conjunction with others when creating final folio works to achieve a vibrant, psychedelic aesthetic.

Week 05: Creating and editing with layer masks. Photos taken on-campus at Footscray Park ovals.
Overall colour, vibrance and saturation have been increased from the original. Multiple images of myself have been layered onto the original utilising layer mask and quick mask selections.
