Happy Holidays, everyone! - Was crazy busy between art and personal life stuff leading up to the Christmas break and I kind of burned myself out. But I did take most of Christmas day off and spent time with my family. Still plenty to do and the car repairs are almost paid off. Thankfully they were kind enough to let me take the car early so I could bring my son down to spend most of the week with us. The last few years have been a real roller coaster (I think we're all hoping 2023 is back to the fun & exciting bit of the ride). I don't think we would have pushed through without being fortunate enough to have so many amazing people come into our lives. The joy of buying a used car is... you never know when unexpected repairs will come up. I use a cane to get around most places and the car gets me to those places. So what does that mean? Savage Destiny Sith Rhapsody (commission) Savage Stuart x Destiny Sith (after Maxine Delcambre) x Star Wars: Visions (Tatooine Rhapsody) - This whole sketch is so many mash-ups it's pretty much it's own thing now, lol. This is the third commission using the Sith Droid design inspired by Maxine Delcambre's fan art mash-up of the Destiny video game character and the Siths aesthetic from Star Wars. Inspired by the Tatooine Rhapsody from SW:Visions on Disney+, in which a young Hutt and a couple friends put on a concert for Jabba, I went full '90s Hair Metal album cover here. I tried going for some Iron Maiden, Metallica, Poison, Motley Crue, or maybe I was just remembering that Steel Panther concert the wife and I went to pre-pandemic. In the end I finished with a card I had a lot of fun with. How could I not with all the neon? 🤘😁🍻 I never get enough of sketching @garbagechutedroids characters and cards. It's been a hard couple weeks, lots of stress and emotions, but hopefully we're getting things back to our semblance of normal. In the middle of all that stuff there's been a few recent bright spots. First is the absolute honor of being included in the GPK Marketplace Top Ten Hottest Unsigned Artist list in their recent issue, written by @justlyjuju . I tagged everyone listed so you can find them all quickly and give these incredible artists a follow. Second, is the first in several special sets from @garbagechutedroids which is limited to 100 sets and feature 29 new cards, one of which is designed by yours truly. These will go on sale in the GCD Fanclub on FB first, so you might want to sign up before they go on sale so you don't miss out. Venomized Stitch Happy Halloween 2022 folks! Even Stitch is rushing to get dressed for the occassion. Not sure if anyone remembers this sketch from over a year ago. Per request, (thank you for the votes, folks!) here is the basic price list for current #sketchcover and #sketchcard commissions. Prices are based on work involved. Why don't I charge different prices for headshot, bust, and full figure? The reason is because a bust can sometimes be just as much work as a full figure on a sketch cover. I instead price based on the work and detail I'm putting into a piece. If you are paying for the top end of the scale, my goal is to create what could be a one-off cover sitting on the shelf at your local comicshops. But I also can work within your budget. Based on what you feel comfortable with in the price scale determines the amount of work, detail, and colour going into the cover. - Sketch cards are mostly price fixed unless there are special requests like tryptic or puzzle sketches. Or if they are intended to be added to sets or pack inserts. All other projects are priced on an individual basis, but please don't hesitate to reach out at anytime.
