I'm praying you don't give up on this project...
i won’t any time soon. i genuinely love this project, and i don’t want to give it up when it’s just beginning.
i’m still learning how to code, so it’s taking me a lot more time to flesh out the entirety of the prologue and a bit of chapter one. i’ve been trying to get it out as soon as possible, but i don’t want to give you all a rushed first impression of what this project has to offer. hence why i haven’t been as active on here and putting out more posts like i said i would (whether i told that to you guys or not, i’m not sure).
also, my fiancé is getting onto me for stressing myself out about rushing lol, so i’m trying my best to take my time.
regardless, thank you for sending this in, it’s made my evening! 🖤

game development update.
hi everyone! i’m sorry for the lack of posts - i have been working and it definitely has gotten a lot busier what with it being the holiday season. on that note, merry belated x-mas to you all!
in terms of working on foxglove, i am looking into possibly asking around for beta readers, and maybe even a co-writer, but that is something that i won’t really venture into at least on this post.
i’ve also been working on coding and writing in my pastime, but i am currently in the process of changing up my writing style. i have been struggling to write the way that i do now, due to the fact that i don’t think it reads well and i want to be able to write without stressing myself out. additionally, i want to make sure that you all love it, so i’m pushing myself to put out something better.
with that being said, expect some changes to the intro (again), as well as some changes to the characters! i know that i’m changing a lot, but i am an indecisive person, lol.
there won’t be any drastic changes, as most of these changes are to flesh the characters out more, but there is a possibility that i may be adding some new details.
either way, i hope that you all have had a great month so far! i will try my best to push more posts out about foxglove as soon as i can finish them, but other than that i’ll keep you all updated.
thank you for being patient with me as i continue to work on this little project of mine. 🖤

i love you all, thank you again for all the love and interest. hopefully, here soon, i will be able to post more facts about the world of xinthero and its characters, explaining it all in more detail. for now, i’ll keep working on writing the prologue until i can hopefully finish it up soon.
regardless, if any of you have any possible questions, then i am willing to answer all of them. i hope you all have a great day or evening, thank you all again for who knows how many times. 🖤

"Curiosity just may kill the dear cat. I recommend you stop whatever it is you're doing, otherwise, you may be a corpse by tomorrow's sunrise."
??? is an enigma to most, a figure embraced in mystery. She serves the Crimson Veil as one of their exterminators, her loyalty to the organization seemingly absolute and unwavering.
She is always seen from afar, never close enough for anyone to truly perceive her. An aura of intrigue surrounds her, yet her face remains hidden from your view - almost as if it’s a distorted blur, impossible to fixate your eyes on - enshrouded within a tenebrous veil.
Though she may appear approachable, her outward demeanor may be deceiving. The truth can be of multiple possibilities, and the tenderness that she projects conceals a deeper, more complex reality.

“This world may seem like an eternal hell for some, but for me? It is where I can be myself without repercussions.”
FABLE has a sharp, unwavering eye for gold, seeing it as the ultimate key to survival. It is not just a means of sustaining oneself, but the only way to live freely without the constant threat of being crushed by those in power. Gold, to FABLE, is more than wealth - it is the gateway to independence, to a life where they can be true to themselves without fear of being torn down by those above them.
FABLE is bold and unafraid to take risks, always ready to gamble if it means securing the freedom to live on their own terms. They will not let anyone tear them down without putting up a fight, willing to go down swinging if the circumstances deem it necessary.
Their synthetic fingers eagerly latch onto any opportunity, any precipice that might offer a way forward, ascending the stairs of hierarchy. While greed may not define them, it is the driving force that allows them to carve out a place for themselves in Xinthero - a place that they can rule without ever being forced to submit to a seemingly higher authority, let alone the entities that infest this realm.

The Heart of the Heir
DEMO // CHARACTER INTROS // BLOG INFO
status: currently writing & coding
To the Members of the Ton,
It is so nice to be able to come to you for another social season. I can already hear the air buzzing with anticipation on the new couples and the everlasting ties that they will bring to our strong community. People are already parading around like gallivant horses to impress the masses as well as the royal family. It is truly a sight to behold. However this year, my fellow Ton, the tides have changed. This year, instead of the members of high society fighting out in the field for love and marriage opportunities, the King and Queen are announcing their child, the new heir to the throne, to be the one whose hand is up for marriage.
This comes as a bittersweet surprise. After the recent and devastating passing of the King and Queen's first child, the high society’s dazzling Emerald, it would have seemed that the line to the Crown was at stake. To lose a precious jewel is a true defeat. But with every wondrous heir, there will be a spare to fill in the shoes of our perfect Crowned Royal. Our Emerald’s younger sibling will finally have a place to shine in the Sun.
This is a change that no one expected. The Royal Family doesn’t deal with the social season to this caliber. Instead of watching from the sidelines, they will be front and center. It will be interesting to watch and see if our new heir is the right pick for the Crown and the high society that we have all built. Will this new heir be our diamond in the rough or will this be an example of a stone with none of the shimmer and shine that is needed to sit in the throne?
Throughout the season, there will be thoughts and gossip to gather, and I will be your humble servant in the collection and distribution of any and all information I can get. My darling members of the Ton, everything I know, you will know. That’s a promise. Enjoy this season, and to the heir, remember to shine like the gemstones of the past, or you will sink like a pebble in the Thames.
Until we meet again,
The Royal Record Holder
Inspired by Bridgerton and The Pride and Prejudice, the interactive story The Heart of the Heir, is a historical romance that takes place in the Regency Era. You, a young royal and the second and younger child of the King and Queen, unexpectedly become the next in line for the throne when your older sibling passes away. Without the knowledge your elder sibling has gotten, you are trusted into the world of high society and must navigate through the social season. Besides the expectations of being a future ruler, you are expected to find a suitor by the end of the season to lead by your side. You, the heir, must balance the future responsibilities of your nation while staying true to your heart. Will you be what the kingdom expects of you or will you lead by example and break away from tradition that was planned for you?
The Heart of the Heir is an +18 interactive fiction that includes topics of death and grief, race and sexuality, substance use (drugs and alcohol), topics of mental health, and skippable sexually explicit scenes. This is a romance book, romance will be the focal point. If that isn’t your cup of tea, you have been warned!
A customizable main character including gender, pronouns, sexuality, physical appearance, a skill fit for a royal, your sibling’s gender, family dynamics, and basic morals for your character to start on.
Decide on what type of ruler you want to be: do you lead with compassion and the knowledge that your kingdom comes first? Do you march to the beat of your own drum? Do you wish that you didn’t want the responsibility of the crown?
Navigate the tight community that comes with the Ton. Don’t lose yourself in the hushed secrets that hide behind cups of tea, the art of conversing via fan, and the walk around the lake.
Get courted by one of the four romance options: your royal match, your childhood best friend, the mysterious newcomer, or the lover who lost it all?
Romance Options:
The Royal (Duke/Duchess Edward/Edwina Drake of Exeter): In the eyes of your parents and the Ton, they are the picture perfect suitor for your hand. E was born and bred to be a royal, your partner. Extremely smart, poise, dedicated to their country, E fits the bill and still has amazing qualities. They’re perfect through the rose tinted glasses. But just like you, they have baggage. The expectations to be the best and to prove themselves worthy of their title and their name. The phrase heavy is the head that wears the crown rings true for both of you. The level of perfection that weighs on both of you, could break and destroy the hardest of stones, and to leave them in a disarray. But if you both were there to burden the stress and build each other up, it wouldn’t be all that bad. If you two crumble, at least it will be together.
Trope: Marriage by Convenience.
The Widow (Victor/Violet Clarke): The one that lost a love too. Planned to marry your older sibling, you’ve always seen V as someone respectable and honest. You’ve watched how their and your sibling’s love has blossomed and how their mutual love and understanding for each other stood rival to only your parents. So when someone you both loved died, pieces of your sibling, and their love, died with them. No one can understand the loss like you do. To lose your best friend, your sibling, or your better half, your lover is a level of pain no one should endure. Navigating the hardships of death and grief can be a lonely time, but thankfully you have each other. A budding companionship is on the horizon, or is there a tie of romance that bounds these two mourning souls?
Trope: Second Chance at Love.
The Knight (Helena/Henry Barnes): From birth, it always seemed like you and H were destined to be with each other in some way. H’s father served under yours, and now H serves under you as your right hand, protector and best friend. They’re the most active person in your life, besides your parents. H has always been supportive and protective of you, both as a requirement to the Crown and because no one knows them the way you know them. H knows your next move, your witty comments, and all the minute details even your parents couldn’t pick up. When you look at them, you see yourself in someone like you: dedicated to the role they were given. When they look at you, there’s a great level of fondness, respect and admiration. But is that all, or is there something deeper behind the gazes they give you?
Trope: Childhood Friends to Lovers.
The Outsider (Sayyid/Safiya Bashar): A sponsorship. Since the Viscount and Viscountess Beaumont have no heirs to their name, they decided to send word to an old friend to sponsor for the season. As the new arrival to the Ton, S made a name for themselves as the new and allusive candidate for your hand in marriage. The only issue is, you don’t like S. They don’t follow the customs you’re used to, and have no need to fit in. Their forward thinking and bold personality clashes with you, and you’d be damned to have someone mess up your new reputation. S always itches at your patience, and seems to get a rise out of you. It’s infuriating, annoying. They’re like a gnat. Then why do they challenge you to the point where they swarm your mind? Is the level of combativeness something you seek? Is this what you want?
Trope: One-sided Enemies/Rivals to Lovers.

“You won’t find the answers to your questions here. You will die before you can try.”
LILITH was the first to ever discover the passage that led out of Xinthero, a concealed exit connected to the other side. Despite this discovery, she had found herself torn between staying or returning back to her original world.
She chose to remain in Xinthero, sacrificing fragments of her humanity in the process, gathering a plethora of information in order to construct a way through. Accompanied with her sacrifice, she is ordained to faintly speak.
A befriended companion remains by her side, assisting her as a speaker on her behalf. Additionally, she aids LILITH in her task of guiding people through Xinthero, leading those who are lost within its confines - assisting them in navigating the unknown and escaping this world.
LILITH herself remains bound to the very place that she once sought to leave - shackled to it by an enigmatic presence.

👀 This seems interesting. I can't wait to learn more.
But my question is how old will Mc be and the Ro's?
thank you for the ask and for finding it interesting, i'm glad that you like it so far! :D
to answer your question: in terms of the mc, they are in their late 20s to early 30s. it is completely up to you if you would like the mc to be a specific age or not.
for the ro's on the other hand, their ages are: abel - 35
echo - 27
lilith - 29
fable - 32
??? - 33
(these may change over time, especially as i start fleshing out their character more, but these are their official ages until then!)

"I'm not afraid of the unknown. If anything, I can't help but find it rather interesting."
ECHO is a dedicated student of the Occult, deeply immersed in the study and practice of its rituals. They have honed their abilities to manifest its power, yet their outwardly skittish nature has them instinctually downplaying their skills, often insisting that they only possess the bare minimum of proficiency.
For the past decade, ECHO has roamed the vast expanse of Xinthero, exploring its landscape and cataloging the strange entities that inhabit it. Their studies have raised countless questions about the realm’s nature and the curious resilience required to survive it.
One can’t help but wonder how ECHO has managed to endure in such a hostile realm for so long, but it is knowledge that they aren't willing to extend to you for free.

"Do not mistake my intentions. No harm will come to you."
ABEL is one of two renowned huntsmen who reside at the edges of Xinthero, where the land's rugged and unpredictable terrain keep most if not all visitors away. Among his many duties, one stands paramount: ensuring the removal of the entities that traverse this realm. It is a task that he performs with ruthless efficiency, never hesitating to confront the threats that lurk in this world. In addition, ABEL is the sole keeper of the populace.
He is meticulous in his assignments, and it is clear that his commitment to his duty is unwavering. However, outside of his responsibilities, ABEL remains a distant figure, almost completely inaccessible to others. His cold, detached demeanor masks the torment that is hidden underneath. The secrets that lie behind the dark tint of his eyes reflect scars that haunt his every waking moment.
Despite his connection to Xinthero as their warden, ABEL remains isolated from others. He is willing to keep others at arm's length, knowing that the true depths of his inner turmoil must remain shrouded. He believes that no one can see what lies underneath his skin, the wounds that mar his heart, for to do so would expose a side of him that he fears even more than the entities that he faces.

I love this so far. Your writing in the summary really hooked me. But I was wondering what year this story is set in? Is it a cyberpunk type setting or modern times? Love it either way!
i’m glad to hear that you love it so far. ^^
this story is set in the future (i would need to scavenge through my stack of notes trying to look for a specific date) and has a more gothic cyberpunk setting!
thank you so much for the ask! 🖤

Do you think you could provide a synopsis in more direct language? I am autistic and am very much struggling to understand your extremely metaphorical synopsis.
Though, if this is an indication of your writing style, it's possible I should just skip this and save myself the trouble, since I wouldn't understand the game either in that case.
i’m so sorry! it’s meant to be confusing, especially because the entirety of this game is meant to be symbolic, but i can see now how the synopsis seems incoherent.
i’ve been in the process of making a more simplified version for some time now, so i’ll try to rush that out as soon as i can.

DEMO T . B . A . ✧ PLAYLISTS ✧ C. INTRODUCTIONS ✧ PINTEREST BOARD
In the heart of Virela is an eternal metropolis, an urban landscape that breathes opulence, enthralling people from all corners of the world. The core of their intrigue is the technological advancement that the cityscape extends and demonstrates to those willing to partake in its refinement. It never failed to enrapture audiences into the idea of comfortable living to the highest degree, of boundless opportunities to become more than what they currently were.
The continuous promise of success and fulfillment corrupted what was once a sanctuary; of what once built your home. It precipitated an infectious greed, one that was progressive in consuming the whole of Virela. It now stands above all else, polluted by the very thing that had brought Virela its grand prestige, besmirched by an endless series of crimes that varied in severity and disappearances that left behind not even a whisper.
It was all you ever knew, the only place that had offered you anything that had resembled a life, and yet, it did not feel like home. For the better part of your childhood, your grandmother raised you, her presence a constant anchor. She guided you throughout your development in your adolescence. She was determined to remain by your side, to see you grow into the person she believed you could be. Then, your grandmother vanished on the morning of your fifteenth birthday.
You desperately sought out the authorities, who had spoken of combing over every crevice of the cityscape for her, promising to find her in due time. A vast majority of your questions whenever asked were discarded, left unanswered for an extended period of time.
Your answer came several years later, with you standing at her funeral - witnessing as the closed casket is lowered into the earth. The funerary service is nothing but a blur, soft-spoken words whispered over her casket no longer meaningful, as if the true grief of it all cannot be contained in such rituals.
In the aftermath, you return to what was left of her apartment, where her presence still lingers in the walls. The apartment is cold, silent, and twinges with an unfamiliarity that makes your skin raise, as though time itself had abandoned it. You attempt to reconnect with the memories that echo throughout the apartment, but it all feels distant to you.
You try to rest within the comfort of your grandmother's old bedroom, but insomnia is an old companion that has you turning in bed, the hours slipping by you. Eventually, the exhaustion claims what was left of your consciousness, allowing you to fade into a restless sleep.
Whenever you do awaken, it is not to the comfort of her bedroom. The room you knew, the room where her warmth once filled every corner, is gone. Instead, you are lying on rough, almost numbing pavement, your fingers stinging from the cold.
The world around you is minaciously barren. It bears no resemblance to Virela, but almost does all at the same time.
The air is thick with an unnatural fog that clings to your skin and obscures your vision, twisting the image of your surroundings. The silence contaminates the very air that you breathe, unsettling the last of your nerves.
Now, as you attempt to compose yourself and discover what this realm has to offer you, will you succumb to the unknown that surrounds you, or will you be able to escape the suffocating grip that this mysterious world has on you?

✧ Romance one out of five potential Love Interests. ( Two Female, one Male, one Non-Binary, and one Gender-Selectable )
✧ Survive this world - do not let it consume you.
ABEL — THE VENERER. { M }
A lunar-struck vourdalak, in opposition of the instincts conjoined within him, ABEL makes it his mission to hunt and slaughter the entities that plague Xinthero. Albeit an inherently reclusive man, he is able to sustain a genuine sense of decorum that is almost unfitting for him.
ABEL has rescued you before, exemplifying a raw strength that is bordering on the edges of that of a rabid creature, adorned in a tenebrous cloak besmirched with jagged cuts that reveal umber skin. However, no matter what, he immediately avoids your gaze, refusing eye contact. He seems amiable, but there seems to be something that forces him to keep his distance from you.
ECHO — THE OCCULTIST. { F / M / NB }
Echo is a seemingly electric bundle of nerves upon stumbling onto you. They are seemingly timid, muddling up some of their words whenever they try to maintain a conversation.
It eventually improves after meeting you a couple of more times, allowing you to see them as they are.
You soon come to find out that they are a student of the Occult and just a lone wanderer, studying the world as it is. It almost makes you question how they have been able to last as long as they have on their own. It is a question that lingers, however, it is almost as if it disappears from your mind before you can speak it into existence.
There is something that lies underneath the surface of their person, producing an air of curiosity surrounding them.
LILITH — THE COURIER. { F }
The eternal shepherd of the "flock", serving those who are first brought into Xinthero, LILITH is a woman of diminutive words. Although she does not make it a habit to speak, it is still a priority for her to tend to those under her care, moreover relinquishing her guidance for those who no longer desire it.
LILITH has managed to succeed in guiding others to escape Xinthero if they so wished to, in addition to managing and watching over the cemetery.
She is accompanied by a Fae companion, who assists LILITH in her plethora of responsibilities. The both of them wish for nothing but to assist you in escaping this world, similar to those who have arrived before you.
FABLE — THE HAUNTED. { NB }
FABLE is a recognized mercenary within Xinthero, notorious for their ability to execute missions with little to no faults. There are many who are presumptuous in assuming that their strength is minimal due to their synthetic arms, only to be proven wrong by their accomplishments.
FABLE is not afraid to be direct to others and make decisions that may be deemed to others as hazardous. They tend to calculate what follows before committing to it, advocating for strategy over brute force.
They are an undisclosed person, but is willing to lend a helping hand to whoever may request them if there is money involved. You are bound to encounter them, searching for a possibility of utilizing their services.
??? — THE EXECUTIONER. { F }
A "devoted" servant of the Crimson Veil, an organization infested throughout most of Xinthero's landscape, ??? serves as one of their many exterminators.
The both of you seem to continuously encounter each other — to the point it almost doesn't feel like a simple coincidence. It manifests an anomalous curiosity within you; a desire to know a bit more about this mysterious stranger.
