You, of all people, are the last person who needs to call me th— ❜ Her protest died on her lips, lost to the sudden, dizzying press of his kiss. The world blurred, logic slipping away until there was just the warmth of his mouth and the flutter in her chest.

          Goodbye ? She refused to let her mind go there — not when everything between them still felt so new, so electric. The situation was far from simple: dating a demon wasn’t exactly what she’d pictured, and none of her friends had a clue. As far as anyone else knew, they were rivals outside these hidden moments. But here, tangled up in each other’s arms, everything made sense. She refused to let fear ruin this, refused to let her mind spiral with all the ways it could end. Each time his lips claimed hers, it silenced the doubts, swept away any talk of parting. She welcomed him every time, so much so that, with a playful smile, she pressed a finger to his lips.

        ❛ Who says you’re stealing? ❜ she murmured, her smile lighting up her whole face.   ❛ Maybe I’m giving them willingly. ❜ For a moment, the world stood still. He gazed at her — so earnest, so full of longing and promise that she nearly forgot how to breathe.

        He can’t keep looking at me like that, she thought, hopelessly lost in his eyes. If she were starlight, then he was the endless night sky she belonged to. They just fit, as if the universe had designed them to exist in this tangled constellation. She felt those words, unspoken but undeniable, etched across her skin, glowing where his touch lingered.   ❛ You can’t just… say things like that, ❜ she whispered, even though she loved how his words twisted her up inside, how they made her feel wild and wanted. She pulled him in again, her kiss saying everything she couldn’t.

JINU KNOWS THIS IS RECKLESS, he wonders if Rumi cares, if he should be good enough to care for her. But when took his hand, it seemed crazy to think about anything but her. That his, felt right. Being with Rumi always felt right, like he'd been waiting for her. "Ah, thank you so much Rumi-nim" Jinu teased her softly before he dipped his head down, stealing a chaste kiss from her mouth.

"How am I supposed to say goodbye to ever?" The hand currently not intertwined with hers reached up, tucking a few stray hairs behind her ear. "Especially when I can steal kisses" Jinu chuckled softly again, swaying away from her before he can smoothly sway back and steal another peck at her lips. Being with Rumi made him feel alive, as if he could swear there was a heart beating in his chest. It was foolish, Jinu knew thoroughly this ended badly but. . .he felt hope. Terrifying to realize what it was, that Rumi not only made him feel a heart in his chest but that he could hope that this somehow ended with them together. Out loud, real.

Her patterns hummed beneath his hands, his thumb brushed along her jawline as his breath fanned against her face. "They look like starlight" His voice was just above a whisper, a ghost of a smile on his lips as his eyes searched hers. "You're so beautiful, Rumi"
