Jarvis turned at the sound of footsteps behind him, picking up the vibrations on the floor in the sensors on his feet. The building was supposed to be cleared. Who had stupidly stayed behind? His gun raised, leveling between familiar eyes before he paused, sighing heavily. "I believe I told you to wait in the car, pet."

His gun lowered, slipping into one of his shoulder holsters under his suit jacket. "Why did you come in? If you do not have a reasonable answer, you will be punished. You know that, yes?" Unnatural blue eyes met Winter's, no emotion in their depths.

It was supposed to be a routine termination. Get in, kill the target, get out. He'd done it a hundred times before. Maybe that was why he lapsed in watching the security cameras. Right as he fired the gun into the man's temple, the door opened. The blond froze for a second before turning, paying no mind to the blood on his hands and shirt.

It always was a shame when someone caught him in the act. Not because he would get in trouble, no, but because it increased the body count unnecessarily. With a sigh, he raised his gun, leveling it at the man. "Such a shame, but you've interrupted some sensitive business. I do apologize for this." Polite as he sounded, there was no remorse or regret in his voice, just cold calculation.
