Yoghurt My Love... But Oh I Cannot
At this point in the morning, I've only slept about 3 hours. Sleep deprivation always hits so hard when I have things happening until the afternoon. It's still early enough for me to have some energy so I'm going to try to do pre-college now, so at the very least I can sleep in the early afternoon. It's totally an iced vanilla chai dirty oat milk latte. I'm so incoherent I'm just writing everything that comes to mind. Bla Bla Bla, Bla Bla.

My current skincare routine
I honestly really love the Snail Mucin with Peptides from JUMISO because it really helps with my sun damage and redness. I just started using the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen a few days ago. It's super lightweight with no white cast which is perfect since my half-arab genes keep my skin a bit more on the tan side, especially in the summer. Since it's summer I haven't been using a moisturizer, my skincare routine ends with either the Rice Ceramide Hydrating Toner from the Face Shop (night) or the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen (day). Despite my dry skin, it's been working really well for me. The Rice Ceramide Hydrating Toner is so thick and milky it totally works as a last step in this weather. It leaves my skin looking glossy with a very thin barrier left on my skin's surface. Okay that's all, sorry about the rant :').

Speaking of Pre-College...
I'm going to be attending Rice University's pre-college program in 5 days. I'm so unbelievably excited. I get to study my dream major at my dream school for over a month... it's virtual though which kinda bums me out. I also got into the NYU pre-college but I wasn't able to attend because it was over TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! And I only got $1,500 in scholarships. I would've loved to live and study in New York City but not everything can go the exact way I want it to. At least I'm attending my dream school, even if it's just for a month and a half. I AM SO EXCITED OH MY GOODNESS. I have been looking forward to this for months, and I can't believe this is finally happening. Wish me luck!

It's hard to be a person.
I've been having a hard time waking up in the morning, as well as sleeping at night. I try to not consume caffeine after 3:00 PM but even that hasn't been helping so much. Even though it has gotten a bit better (I used to need 2 Benadryl to sleep at night but now I can get down with just a CBD supplement), I still can't fall asleep before 11:30. It's annoying when I have things to do at 8:45, and soon it'll be even earlier since I'm starting precollege in 5 days. I'd like just one night when I can get 10-14 hours of sleep. Maybe I'll take some Benadryl tonight at 7:00 so I can sleep from 8:00PM to 7:45 and get 11.75 hours of sleep. I'll update tomorrow about my sleep!

The right choice
It鈥檚 tiring to always want. I want coffee, but I don鈥檛 have $5 to spare; I want to sleep, but I just had the $5 coffee; I want to read, but reading would get in the way of the rare sleep I do get. It鈥檚 so hard to decide which want I should fulfill. Today I believe I made the better choice. While I did spend my limited funds on an expensive Vanilla Chai Dirty Latte from a nearby cafe (one of the cheaper ones, might I add), I got a decaf one just on the off chance I'll sleep tonight. I read even though I was tired so I may sleep better tonight. I don't believe there is a correct decision out there, just one that leads to the least hurt.
