Writing fantasy and speculative fiction is actual Hell because achieving verisimilitude demands that you, the author, have a clear idea of how the speculative or fantastical elements of your setting work, but the story will almost always be improved by not explaining it to the reader.

Are there any fwb routes with any of the ROs ?

I do not plan as of right now to have a separate fwb route for any of the ROs however I would say Terrene, Alethea, and the knight would to some extent fall under the fwb category especially at the beginning of their routes. If you only want a fling though and not something that eventually will become serious you can have a one time fling with almost all of the ROs except for Mira and Eliseo.

Care to share some facts about the ROs?

Firstly I would like to say sorry for the late response but to answer your question here are some fun facts about the ROs

Mira: Mira is one of the least trusting ROs her whole route will involve the severity of her trust issues and I would say it is one of if not thee most angst filled routes. For a true fun fact Mira is related to one of the ROs, it is not Terrene.

Alethea: Alethea values freedom above all else and does not like feeling obligated to anything or anyone again this will come up in her route, also Alethea is the reason the MC was able to find an in into well the castle.

The Knight: The knight’s is a very closed off person their route will be very slow burn, depending on what job MC ends up getting at the castle it can progress faster however. Also don’t tell anyone but The Knight is a fan of Alethea’s music and secretly enjoys attending banquets and balls with Mira because it means that Alethea will most likely be playing there.

Eliseo: Eliseo has been best friends with the MC since the death of MC’s family and would do anything for MC I mean the true definition of a ride or die definitely the least angst filled route. Eliseo also has an army of stray cats that he shares ownership of with Alethea and MC (if MC so wishes)

Terrene: Terrene is a master at strategies and MC is currently at the heart of her plan, yet she cannot risk anything more than a symbiotic relationship or can she? Terrene has a love for swans and is often times seen providing the wild ones in the royal garden with food when no one is looking so that they will return to the garden again.

???: honestly I can’t say any serious shit without it being spoiler territory but I will give y'all a little something and say they love snow.

Facts on MCs deceased family members and what was their relationship like with MC ? I’m all about those familial ties 😎

Sure no problem!

Cecilia MC’s Mother was a mage whose abilities focused on altering light to create illusions, so illusionary magic. Cecilia was a cheerful woman she supported her kids no matter what and would let them get away with as much troublemaking as possible for she was a troublemaker herself. MC's relationship with her can vary later in the game for reasons.... however at the start of the game MC will be set to have a good relationship with her.

Amadeus MC’s Father was the past advisor of the late king. He was temporarily an advisor for the current king until he heard suspicions that Amadeus's wife Cecilia was a mage, which then caused him to order the death of MC’s family. Amadeus was a strict parental figure yet he held deep care for his family and ultimately risked everything to try and save them (MC relationship with him can vary depending on what temperament you choose to have as child MC in the flashback scenes, however no matter what present time MC at the start of the game will hold deep respect and care for their father). 

Aurelius MC’s older brother, he was 16 at the time of his death he was studying to be a healer before he died. He was not a mage. He had a very calm demeanor and would oftentimes come off as aloof he and MC had a good relationship and Aurelius is the one who was ultimately able to create the opening for MC to escape from the mage hunters.

Synopsis

You want the king's head for the death of your family but what are you willing to do to achieve it? you are a mage, which in the kingdom of Valencino means death. Constantly having to be on guard for mage hunters and being able to trust few is making your goals of revenge quite difficult, however, you have finally found an opportunity for the revenge you so desire that you just can't refuse. A job at the palace under the employment of the queen, but could this opportunity be more trouble than it's worth?

(F) Knight is 5’5 and has a soft muscular build. Her curly dark brown hair is cut close to her ears, she has harsh amber eyes.

Terrene the Princess of Valencino, the disinherited heir of the throne and therefore one of your best possible bets at an ally that is if you are okay with compromising your morals, not one known for forgiveness and with a quite ruthless streak most fear the consequences of opposing her.

Appearance: Terrene is 5’2 and has a heavyset frame. She has black coily hair that lays around her shoulders with round black eyes.
