AU Request: Comedic reasons for two characters being kicked out of anywhere?

“This date was going well until you tried to argue with me about my favorite television show and we argued so loudly that the restaurant kicked us out, so do you want to go get dessert someplace so we can continue this argument?” AU

Characters A and B are purposefully trying to get kicked out of Walmart and are daring each other to do more and more daring stunts. Character C is an employee watching them and debating if they want to kick Character A and B out, or see how far they’ll go. 

“We got thrown out of an all you can eat buffet because we kept daring each other to speed eating competitions and making a mess, but it was totally worth it.” AU 

While at a Harry Potter film showing, Character A and Character B get into a conversation about book to movie adaptations. Character A says that the books were way better, while Character B says that the movie are the best. The two end up debating too loudly and get kicked out, still arguing about which is best. 

Character A and Character B go to the zoo and keep trying to ‘talk to the animals’ and end up laughing way too much and slightly terrifying the families around them.

Dan Howell, a world renowned pianist in his early twenties, had fallen from his place in the world of music when his mother passed unexpectedly. Instead of returning and continuing music after properly mourning, Dan disappeared from the spotlight entirely. He vowed to never touch a piano again, promised not to get lost in what he now knew had been his crutch through difficult times before. Never again would he allow himself to forget those around him.

I have an idea for a thing?? I’ll write it completely before posting it this time, I promise. This was the song that gave me the idea for the title.

All I can think about is a willow tree in the first couple of songs from the album Waking the Muse by Michele McLaughlin. Also, the image is not mine.

Coffee Shop AU

Dan decided to take a detour on the way back to his flat after he noticed the coffee shop he and Phil used to frequent was still around. It had been quite some time since he even thought about this coffee shop. He hesitated when he reached the door. Would it be okay to come here after so long? It was obviously still open, but would it have changed? The thought made him nervous.

The bell rung as he stepped inside the homely little place. His eyes roamed the room, admiring the books that still lined the walls. The shop seemed to have bought more books as well. It was one of the reasons he came here when he was younger. And it may be one of the reasons he would start coming here again.

He had always loved this place, but Dan had loved this place even more after meeting Phil. It was full of happy memories now, along with the bitter-sweet ones. This was where he and Phil talked about their hopes for the future and it was also where they parted ways. Everything happened in this shop.

“Welcome! How may I-“

Dan spun towards the counter with wide eyes. That all too familiar voice startled him. His shock gave way to a warmth that he only ever felt when he was around Phil.

“Hey, I see you’re back in town.”

Phil smiled warmly, gesturing towards a table. “The usual?”

Dan nodded. “Have you got some time? It’d be nice to catch up.”

Phil’s eyes brightened as he replied. “I’ve got all the time in the world.”

How could he have ever thought his love for Phil faded over the time they had been apart? Phil looked as cheerful and warm as ever. It was quite impossible to fall out of love with the man with the wonderfully bright blue eyes and kind soul.

For You Now

Summary: Phil thinks about Dan's decision to continue law as Dan naps on his sofa with his law book just a foot away. Dan wasn't meant to be getting a degree in law, he was meant for something different.

“Come away, come away leave it all far behind you. 'Cause it's not who you are and it's not what you wanted.” Phil glanced towards Dan who was fast asleep on his sofa with a warm smile. Unsurprisingly, Dan had his law book open on the coffee table beside him with handwritten notes strewn about and stuck between random pages. The familiar sight made Phil smile half-heartedly. Many of their days together ended like this. The younger boy could study better when he was at Phil’s flat. There were no distractions here. Or that’s what he was told anyway. Dan seemed to find some way to convince Phil it was always the perfect time to sit too close together and watch a movie. Looks like tomorrow he would drive Dan over to his classes; not that he minded at all. Phil got up from his desk slowly, his mood plummeting as he thought of Dan’s complaints from earlier. Law just wasn’t for Dan. The book Phil had been reading was forgotten as he tiptoed towards the sofa. Phil had caught Dan with tears of frustration in his eyes on more than just a few occasions. Today had been a particularly bad day. It wasn’t fair. This isn’t what Dan really wanted to do with his life. Law was a mistake and one the other couldn’t take back as he was afraid of disappointing his parents, Phil knew that. But would they really be disappointed? Shouldn’t they want Dan to be healthy and happy? Not depressed, tired, and moody? Phil grabbed the blanket from the top of the sofa and draped it over Dan. However, the other woke up, looking up at Phil.

“I can see, I can see the strength there inside you. Calling you come away to where you're bright eyed and hopeful.” The smile that lit Dan’s face reached his eyes. “Thank you.” The other spoke. Phil nodded and knelt beside the couch. He ruffled Dan’s hair who in turn pulled the blanket to his chin and shut his eyes again. Phil’s hand dropped. Dan peeked his eyes open and propped himself up on his elbow when he noticed Phil looked troubled. Dan’s hand grabbed Phil’s in a comforting way. “You okay?” Phil nodded but tilted his head, continuing to look at Dan. “Is it really less distracting here?” “Of course. It’s quieter. I don’t need to worry about everyone being loud. I’m comfortable.” There was a pause. “Comfortable enough to fall asleep, obviously.” A sheepish look crossed his face. A smile curved Phil’s mouth now. Dan had mentioned something before about having difficulty falling asleep in places he wasn’t comfortable with. To hear he was comfortable, spoken out loud, made Phil feel less troubled than earlier. A sudden thought hit him. If Dan was comfortable here then Phil would give him the choice to come over whenever he wanted. “Can I ask you another question?” Dan nodded. He let go of Phil’s hand, tucking his arms under his head as a pillow. His brown eyes were bright, alert now. Phil stood and walked over towards his coat. He dug something from his pocket and made sure to close his hand around the small, cold object. The ridges dug into his palm. This was nerve-wracking, surprisingly. Dan didn’t bother sitting up and Phil preferred to sit on the floor anyway. “Do you want this?” Phil held the key between two fingers as he rested his chin on the edge of the cushion. Dan opened his mouth to speak but no words left. Phil could tell Dan was happy by the look on his face. “Whenever you want to come over, you can. And I can pick you up more often if you’d like.” “Thank you, thank you!” Dan took the key and motioned for Phil to sit up. When he did Dan leaned in and hugged him tight. Phil returned the hug. "As a child is this how, you saw yourself all grown up. 'Cos I believe, I believe in your smile I see someone else. Coming through, coming through like the sun-rays that kiss your face. Like they always have done and they always will for you now." Dan pulled away, slipping the key into his pocket. He was still brimming with happiness. Even as he picked up his law book, his smile never faded. “Can you help me with the flashcards? I have a test tomorrow.” Phil nodded before sitting beside the younger boy. With Dan’s eyes now trained on his book and flashcards Phil let himself stare at Dan for a while longer. There were bags under his eyes and shadows on his cheeks from his eyelashes. His hair was starting to get curly at the ends. There was no way that Dan was thinking about studying just yet, Phil knew. Dan’s eyes flickered up and back to his book. This Dan was his favorite. The one that got lost in his thoughts, not really paying much attention. “We should film a video together sometime.” It was such a random thought that came to Phil, but making a video seemed like a good idea. It would be fun and relaxing. Carefree, which was what Dan needed. Dan nodded absently. A few seconds later he smiled nervously at Phil. “I’ve always wanted to try making a video, but I don’t know the first thing about editing them.” “I can show you, don’t worry.” Dan stared off into space, daydreaming once again, more openly this time. Phil could almost see Dan’s future getting brighter the more he thought. Anything other than law would do, Dan had once told him. Though he knew it wasn’t completely true, Phil did know that Dan liked watching YouTubers. So why not give him a bit of a kick start? Patiently Phil waited for Dan to remember his studying. But until then, he would rest his head on the boy’s shoulder, thinking. What person would Dan be in the future if he- “Cat whiskers.” Dan muttered to himself. Phil laughed quietly. "And everything will be alright now, alright."
