playing morrowind for 20+ years is wild beecause like

in this playthrough, Fentula Pevengius, a random smuggler in a cave just beyond Tel Uvirith? yeah she was my first vampire turning test. I didn't want to risk Ashidasha (slave from shushan (she's a jaguar big-type with the khajiit diversity mod)) being harmed by it so i ran a test on Fentula first

locked her in a cave, turned her into a vampire, studied her as a telvanni vampire might do, and then abandoned her when it worked as i had hoped, and turned Ashidasha

but then i kinda came back and let Fentula out and fed her some prisoners and it was like, you know what? we have a weird fucked up thing going now. we're pals.

now she's in fancy green armor like the rest of my Squad and stands at the front door of Tel Uvirith along with Anirwen (also vampirified) and it's just

this random low-level smuggler NPC is now an integral part of this character's story. she goes with me to places. sometimes when i'm playing dollhouse she'll come along and we'll all do poses at my outdoor music bar i built with furniture catalogue

the story implied by all of this nonsense i could do an entire fucking fanfiction about and i play half of that out in my head ALREADY

and on my next playthrough, she'll be a random low-level smuggler again.

over enough time i'm going to have this weird relationship with every random npc in morrowind. you loop time over and over and over and over again and they don't KNOW that you used to be friends. you spent years together in this weird fucked up relationship and then you ate time back and now you're strangers again

but you remember.
