Affirming Hypnosis

Who is really the master in this scenario? XD (Oops, I forgot to draw the summoning mark that appears on them when Caprii is there. I can't be bothered to add it now.)

I've been inspired lately by all the cute art that @hyenafu makes of their OCs from their webcomic Slightly Dammed with one of them as a big snake and this snake and elf have cute playful and oftentimes affirming and wholesome hypnosis and coiling and it's just so cute and sweet that I've been all over their art haha  So I really wanted to take inspiration and do something similar with my own elf and her eidolon Caprii! If you haven't met these two before, Taeryn is my D&D high elf summoner. She's 21 and formed an adventuring group with her friends to help people after she was kidnapped as a child, and would have been sold into some kind of awful trafficing if she hadn't awakened to strange powers through a series of 5 weird dreams, after which she gained the ability to summon this eidolon, Caprii the snake.  After Caprii appeared and basically tore apart the bad guys so the child could escape, the two have been living together ever since. And now Taeryn wants to help other people who are trapped and scared like she once was

Over the course of the campaign, Taeryn has become an incredibly gifted mage. But I always love how the relationship is between her and Caprii. Taeryn is supposed to be the master, but she goes giddy for her best friend's coils and hypnotic powers. Also, while Caprii is very standoffish and rude to most people, she ADORES Taeryn and will get very defensive over her. Taeryn however thinks of Caprii as her best friend and doesn't want her to get hurt.

So the two are a very cute pair, and spend most nights with Taeryn cuddled up in her big scaly friend's snuggly coils. (Sometimes a certain tiefling is invited into the hug too XD)

Here, we have Taeryn struggling to break herself out of the throes of intense work researching magic, or perhaps trying to find some way to best their next adversary. But after working herself to the point of exhaustion, maybe she needs a friend to force her to rest. Actually Venetia's player suggested that she probably asked Taeryn to stop and take a break first, but after Taeryn refused, Venetia gave Caprii a nudge to 'persuade' her to stop. I'm sure Venetia will join in the cuddle break time after not too much longer X3 She'll be willing, but maybe Caprii will give the tiefling some hypnotic therapy too~!

Naga Hormones

Here is a fun lil pic I did of my nagasona (in the femboy version I drew him before), experiencing one of the issues that can plague naga folks in demihuman society. See, to try to make a long story short, Nagas have two diets, an every day diet (just like humans), and a sorta once-a-month diet where they must eat something larger. Referred to sometimes as "hunting", because they are historically biologically designed to eat humans. Except that in this society, they obviously don't want people eating each other. So nagas are given a supplement meal every period which is meant to satisfy their cravings. It's like a bunch of protein and nutrients stuffed into an animal stomach. meant to simulate the feeling of eating a prey (since they can't really just shove a big mac down there, it won't work.) If they neglect their daily diet, they need to hunt more often. but if they neglect their naga diet, they will need to do so much more quickly.  Even the most well-meaning of nagas will slowly be filled with an ever increasing hormone that will make the idea of eating a person less and less horrifying and hard to consider, and more and more appealing. until they go from refusing to, to really wanting to, to reeeeeally wanting to. after becoming desperate enough, they won't be able to control themselves. And here's the other thing; nagas, a long time ago, before demihuman society was secretly integrated into our human one... nagas in their culture, well... they'd never heard of the idea of monogamy. They kinda lived in a highly polyamorous culture where it was like a common greeting to flirt with each other. They'd spend days snoozing in each others coils and use hypnosis as a show of dominance, intimacy or even as a greeting. Being playful and even promiscuous is a part of their DNA. So, even centuries later in modern day society, nagas still have that inclination buried deep within themselves. And when their naga instincts start to come out, it's not just a desire to hunt humans that grows, but a more... intimate side. Let's hope these two's other friends manage to find them before this goes too far, hm?? He might get carried away and then this turns into a steamy fanfic! Or even worse, if he gets really carried away, she might get to see the inside of his stomach, and  get a first hand demonstration on the next lesson of Naga biology...

Someday soon hopefully I'll write up a whole explanation on how nagas work in my AU, and maybe on other species too. but until then, I hope this helps to explain things X3 Hope you enjoy, I really enjoyed making this piece and I love how it came out. it's one of my favourites now.

A New Fit

I made this picture for an art jam in an MLP lamia/snake server I'm in. The subject was halloween. I went for a more ambitious picture in making this a comic, but I wanted to explore an idea I've enjoyed for a while. Discord is playing some pranks, and is "helping" by turning everypony into their costumes.  Authentic? Yes. Fun? Subjective, mostly yes. But uhh... What happens when two ponies are jointly cosplaying as a lamia and one of them is inside the tail when they transform? Oh dear... let's hope Twilight or Starlight can help. If they uhh, aren't dealing with their own predicaments. I've had this idea for a while - being transformed via magic into your costume, but two people playing a large snake of some kind, one of them becoming a full naga, the other one still being inside the tail except now they're in the snake stomach! So I'm glad I got to explore it.

Wrong Potion (TFtober)

Oh my god this pic has been a long time coming XD Ages ago I had an art slump during some not great times in my life. This was one of the first things I drew when I came out of it which got me out of my slump. I wanted to finish it right then, but I got completely caught up on trying to design the colours for this pony. I had NO idea what to do, and honestly, even now, I am not sure I like the colours and might change them.  I basically messed around with gradient maps for ages cus I have NO IDEA how people come up with colour schemes!! Anyway I'd drawn this pony a couple of times and I guess they were meant to be a new OC though she doesn't have a name yet. Here she is drinking from a mysterious and strange potion that she was told was medicine. Maybe she had a headache or something. Now she has a new tail.

TFtober - New Tail

I drew this AGES ago and it was one of those pictures that I liked but I could just never seem to finish. I just wasn't happy with the design. I experimented with something a bit more complex, seemed too hard to replicate to go with even though it looked kinda nice. I just never had the motivatio nto work on it after that. but with it being TFtober, I dusted it off, altered the colours to finally decide what I wanted the colour scheme (there were multiple possible tail and hair combos). And I flipped the main spots from a darker colour to a lighter one and it looks nicer this way I think. I wanted to call this one done XD I don't know how she got turned into a naga.

Melyssa the Lamia

Aaaah it's finally here! I've been working on htis ref sheet for a hot minute. I was veeeeery happy with how the main drawing came out! Except that I couldn't fit her necklace on XD Please don't forget her necklace if you can fit it! Melyssa is a character I first drew ages ago as just a one-off thing. a cobra hooded lamia hypnotising berry twist. Then everyone wanted a piece of her coils (I wonder why) and wanted to commission her. So I ended up making her a permenant character. But she's never really had a proper full ref sheet. just whatever I could throw together. THIS HERE is the definitive, up-to-date, accurate reference sheet for Melyssa. You should defer to this one over all others. You are welcome to draw Melyssa or write about her if you would like to.

Melyssa is a beautiful creature that has the upper body resembling a pony and a lower body of a serpentine form. Her long, smooth, shiny coils can easily wrap a pony up all the way! Or maybe even two or three. (they cna change size a little if she needs them too.) She lives in an abandoned temple on the other side of the everfree forest, kinda in the middle of nowhere. (Not the castle of the two sisters, further than that and a different direction I think probably. I dunno, one only ever seems to find Melyssa's abode when they're hopelessly lost!) Melyssa LOVES the feeling of holding ponies in her coils and hugging them. She'll capture ponies and cuddle with them all day. This sounds great, but she also sometimes eats ponies! so be careful. She has a very powerful version of the same magic that the snakes in the Everfree forest do, which lets her dominate a pony's mind and scramble their thoughts, putting them in a lovely, warm and relaxed state of complete freedom from their thoughts and worries. For the price of their complete obedience, of course~ But I hear it feels super nice to have the honour of being put under this beautiful lamia's spell. You just have to understand she'll probably keep you for a while and play with you, maybe letting you think you've shaken off her power and can make an escape for it, only to find out she was playing snake & mouse with you the whole time.

Taeryn has a tail now

In my D&D game of Waterdeep Dragon Heist, my elf summoner just got the ability Aspect and can now use some of her eidolon evolutions on herself. So of course, of COURSE she had to get herself a beautiful tail. And promptly showed it off to everyone.

Tene wrapped (animation)

I've been working on this picture for a long time. who knew animation was actually hard you guys x_x; Loops are fun to look at but my god I realised they were harder to pull off than you'd expect. A regular non looping animation would have been easier. But even though it took over a year, I'm happy to have it finished. This is one of my furry sonas coiled and wrapped and falling under the hypno of the snake. It was gonna be 12 frames but it ended up having to get doubled twice just to get the eyes to loop and then to make them 3 colours cus I decided I needed them 3 colours.
