Exciting news from Australia. A rare slug species, the Kaputar Slug has made a huge comeback after they were all but wiped out in the 2020 bushfires we had.

These slimy salamis are giant (up to around 20cm/~7.8 inches) and bright hot pink and ONLY live on an extinct volcano in national part in NSW Australia. Just recently 300 individuals were spotted on the one day.

Thought you might like to know as a fellow enjoyed of the slimy friends.

there's a really funny 3d printing controversy going on btw.

if you don't know, there's a very popular 3d printing model out there called "benchy". this is used for benchmarking your 3d printer because it's a difficult print and will help test it out.

this is so widely used that people make their own little versions of it, remixing the 3d model to make benchy look cooler and stuff. however, a new company owns the benchy license. they are sending copyright takedowns to all those who wrongfully uploaded the benchy model.

of course, this is pissing off the 3d printing community greatly. everyone loved benchy and have used it for years. so someone on reddit decided to make a new model that is designed as a 3d printing stress test. one that works a lot like benchy, and people are freely able to edit it as they please. you know what they called it?

bro I’m sick bc ace dying in his arms was luffy’s biggest nightmare but dying in the arms of the person that he loved most / loved him most was probably the kindest Fate (under the circumstances) that he could have been given. luffy, the person he sacrificed himself for and would again and again and again and a million times over if he’d been given the chance bc there was no world he wanted to live in without his little brother alive and breathing, there with him at the end.

I was thinking about Aragorn’s stupidly long legs again and I think it should be canon that he regularly smacks his forehead into low door frames and stuff. Just somwhere in Minas Tirith there’s a loud thunk followed by a long string of Sindarin swearwords and Arwen is like “ah yes, here he comes, the King of Gondor and Arnor, the love of my life.”

Okay, so imagine poolverine but a Farm AU where they decide to retire in the midwest after many years of living together in New York, after many of their friends and found family have passed.

Maybe they get a some cows, chickens and maybe even some sheep, and maybe Logan grows some crops and harvests it in the fall. Wade helps out with harvest too, of course, and together they work with the animals, especially the cows. Maybe Wade stays at home most times, tending to their backyard garden and gathering eggs from the chickens. And maybe they sell some of their produce together at a farmers market in the nearest town.

And of course Laura and Mary Puppins would be there! And maybe they get a cattle dog to keep watch at night for coyotes and help keep the cows in line when they're moved to different parts of the field. Maybe they get a barn cat or two to keep down farm pests. Mary Puppins needs some friends after all!

I just like the idea of them feeding bottle calves, talking sassy with the chickens, making home-cooked meals with the produce they grow and rocking in their rocking chairs on the porch, watching the sunsets or stargazing (because it's easier to see stars out in the country compared to big cities).

I like the idea of Logan and Wade living long, more peaceful lives with their family after years of conflict

Every now and then I remember that Tim was only 17 or 18 when he went on Bruce Quest and I wanna cry. This is a teenager. A very mature teenager, but a teenager who just lost a lot of people he’s close to. It breaks my heart a bit that everyone in the hero community looked at this child and said “you’re on your own.”

Idk man. I feel like sometimes we underestimate how young 17 actually is.

honestly, the radicalizing event that made me ditch faux-ironic detachment is when I sent a hard-to-write sentimental message to someone I was (at the time) close with, and they sent the vomiting emoji back. it was like oh okay, that sucks. I am now of the opinion that it is 100x cooler and braver to be sappy with the people you care about.
