I’ve been here over three years. I’ve made a friend or two a long the way. I’ve made enormous strides to mend my shadow self. I’m so awesomely lonely. The connection between us never grew like I could foresee. I hoped and wished our roots would intertwine and for our foundation could never be uprooted. They said it would be good for us. Seems it was- for our downfall. You want it to work. You are gladly my slave. That’s not what I asked for. I signed for beautiful connection, for my eyes to be opened and to meet yours- naked, and for growth- together. I swore to feel something with you I could never with another. We were planted in shallow dirt. My roots the ones that pulled away from yours they are reaching for better. My roots the ones you are not inter tangled with are going deeper. I insist that there is concrete underneath as far as we can feel. Why can’t you believe me?
