I know I’m a doctor who blog mainly but I like other things! Like gravity falls and I wanna say something a little controversial…

I like Roadside Attractions. I think it’s fun and cute on its own. The main problem with it is that why is it the second to last story in the show???

It’s a very good example of when you air an episode is important! If it was a late season 1 episode about Dipper overcoming his crush on Wendy and learning you can’t play with others feelings it’d be so much more endearing. I even think it’s a better coming of age story than Dipper vs. Manliness. But they placed it where the character already grew to the point it felt almost like a character regression and one that didn’t make sense. Not only that but like�� Sixer is here!! Who cares about Dipper’s crush anymore! Give us more of Sixer!!!!!!

After learning about the existence of a Doctor Who Cookbook and Patrick’s Vegetable Soup with ‘Dalek Krotons’ recipe, I also managed to find Frazer’s contribution, the very simple Mushrooms McCrimmon.

Love that the ingredients list is written with the automatically implied expectation that the Doctor is eating it too lmao. Even in a recipe book they’re always together. Look at that illustration to go along with it too, bless them;;

Recipe text below:

Ingredients:

Fresh raw mushrooms (as many as you and the Doctor can eat between you)

Oil or butter

1 tin of anchovies

1 carton of single cream to taste

Method:

Heat the oil or butter in a large frying pan, and put as many mushrooms as you like (depending on how many people you are entertaining) into the pan and gently fry until they become soft but do not overcook. Meanwhile, put the anchovies into a blender and blend to a creamy texture. Add the fresh dairy cream and keep adding to taste until the anchovies do not dominate the flavour. Place the mushrooms in a serving dish and pour the mixture over the mushrooms and serve immediately. This dish only takes a few minutes to make.

Author’s note:

This is a very tasty and simple dish to make. It is quick and very economical. If the reader feels in an extravagant mood, slice an avocado pear in half and fill the halves with Mushrooms McCrimmon.
