We all know the underworld only means so much to Ozzie, he wants someone to rule it with, to share it with. He wants to believe that eventually Ed will come round, and maybe he does, but it would never be soon enough for our poor lil short king :’(

every time oswald is hurt over ed not loving him back i’m like aw poor little man :( completely forgetting that this man is literally the king of the underworld, a murderer and one of the main villains in this franchise

Gotham AU when, after the s5 finale, Oz and Ed are definitely married but keep it lowkey. They pretend to fight with each other in public to lure the Batman out, and he usually gets between them to try and neutralise the fighting. Bats is a sucker though, that’s exactly what their plan was, and the two turn on Batty, running away when they get the upper hand.

Yes, they both sneak away separately and rendezvous back at the Van Dahl manor for a light supper and some tea by the fireplace, congratulating each other on some mischief well accomplished.

One of my favourite things about the finale is just how easily and happily Ed goes along with this plan he thinks Oswald concocted for him. A signed letter, a fancy new outfit, and some explosives? It’s like Christmas came early for him and he’s rushing off to meet his penguin beneath the mistletoe.

We also need to talk about how quickly Ed gets over being lied to and manipulated when he sees Oswald sitting in that limo waiting for him, it’s instantaneous. 

I don’t know how everyone else feels, but I feel like 5.12 is where we see these disaster gays transition from Nygmobblepot to classic Riddlebird.

rewatched the last episode of gotham and it’s so wild how whipped nygmobblepot are for each other,,, like when jeremiah broke ed out of arkham and barely even had to lift a finger to manipulate him into doing what he wanted with the bombs because ed just automatically assumed it was oswald who broke him out and was just immediately down for whatever??? i mean how famously desperately gay do you have to be? ? ? ?

Oddly specific Headcanon to the point it’s only a headcanon for lack of better word: Oswald did his hair like a macaroni penguin one year for an event, and nobody has let him live it down since. Whenever he’s at odds with another rogue, they make sure the gazette uses the image of said look.
