I just read “Hufflepuff isn’t a house where you can stick people who don’t fit in the other houses”

But the thing is? It literally it is, Helga Hufflepuff said she would take the rest.

She preferred the loyal and hardworking for her house, but felt that everyone should have a chance. Not a Gryffindor, a Slytherin, or a Ravenclaw? Not a loyal, hardworking Hufflepuff either?

Well that’s okay. Helga Hufflepuff founded her house believing anyone should be given a chance at Hogwarts. Those four archetypes aren’t all that matter, and if you don’t fit any of them Hufflepuff will still welcome you. 

Godric/Rowena/Salazar were perfectly happy to say “You don’t fit into our houses, you can’t come to Hogwarts” and it was only Helga who was willing to say “You might not fit my ideals of a student, but you can still be in my house”

Like. I think that’s super cool. I don’t like it when people shoehorn Hufflepuff into being one and the same like the rest of the houses, sure, loyalty, hardworking, kindness.. that’s the priority.. but it’s truly a place for everyone. And that’s where Hufflepuff’s kindness shines the most.

Hufflepuff’s pride as a house comes not only from loyalty, hardworking, toil, and kindness, but from diversity. Something the other founders did not realize the importance of.

I don't have friends irl

Things are difficult for me lately. I've been trying to reach out to my closest acquaintances so that I didn't have to constantly spend my free time alone, moping. I was to the point of asking everyone if they had time for a coffee this week, just for an hour. 5 people who are closest to me were too busy (but 2 of them could spend an evening together though). Really, the truth is : they don't give a shit and spending time with me is a chore. They feel bad for turning me down constantly so they eventually say yes to get rid of me which made me realise I'm just harassing them. I have no friends and it's really my own fault for being boring and annoying. I wouldn't spend time with me tbh.

I just needed a friend. Just for a moment.

Hufflepuffs And Their Socks.

I can imagine a Hufflepuff always having a million pairs of sock but never a pair that match. Like the corresponding pair is always in the wash, under the bed, dirty or the cat has taken off with it and is never to be seen again. (They probably donated quite a few to Dobby as gifts)

 There’d  just be a line of Hufflepuffs all wearing miss-matched socks that are all different sizes and colours. But I can also imagine them getting creative with their sock choices and using them to express their feelings so for example they were in need for coffee cause they had a Herbology mock exam coming up so they’d wear one sock with cacti on them and the other with coffee cups, an each Hufflepuff would to looking at each others socks to try and guess what theme it was around.

This is seriously one of the most perfect photos I have ever seen of this man. I love how it showcases his sweet stubble, darling freckles, sumptuous lips, and lustrous eyes.

I watched Fantastic Beasts on my flight back to the US and I was really shocked by how much I liked it!? (because I did not enjoy the other HP films at all)

I really really like Newt Scamander as a character, p much for every reason this video essay points out. It’s so refreshing to see a male leading character that doesn’t embody any of the male bravado that Hollywood defines as appealing/attractive, and to see empathy FINALLY portrayed as a strength in men.

Newt Scamander is such a Hufflepuff hunk  (๑ˊ͈ ॢᵕ ˋ͈)〜♡॰ॱ
