whats up with that Straight™ trend of seeing a male and female character who blatantly dislike each other, verbally express that dislike and more or less only tolerate each other out of necessity and immediately thinking ‘omg so much sexual tension i ship it’ but when two female characters immediately befriend each other and have a completely supportive and healthy dynamic it’s ‘platonic relationships are so important’ and ‘why can’t you just appreciate their friendship’ and ‘not everything has to be gay, you know :/’
