THURSDAY [16.09.21]
so i'm basically almost halfway through my semester and can't wait for this year to be over.
what have i learnt so far this semester?
1. procrastination is my enemy, but i guess i'm an enemy to lover kinda gal
2. i realised i am able to freak out about a test i'm writing and still start and finish a whole book on the same day i'm writing the test
3. spencer reid is fictional and i have to deal with it
4. no one will ever come close to spencer reid
5. sometimes i can do a week's worth of work in a day, and other times i do a day's worth of work in a week (or two).

MONDAY [21.06.21]
There are bad days and then there are BAD days. and then there are days like today where every now and then, i feel bad.
i guess what i'm trying to say is that bad is inevitable. you can't control what happens to you. but you can control how you react to it. there is significant power in that.
so instead of sulking in my situation, i find rest in my reaction.

MONDAY [14.06.21]
today is just one of those days where i really feel like not existing. but someone's gotta do the work!
the to-do list for today is as follows:
write test on psychometry and research methodology
study for organisational behaviour exam
exercise
do 1 of my online excel course classes
i know.. soooo exciting, lol. anyway, i'll be in my study, either crying or drowning in coffee, or both.

it's 12:08am and i am in a meeting with my team, preparing our presentation. it's ridiculous but i guess that's the life of postgrad.
also my dog is snoring VERY loud so that's not awkward at all.

THURSDAY [10.06.21]
today i wrote my exam on psychological well-being in the workplace and first of all it was 4 damn hours long i couldnt keep my eyes open most of the time. second it wasn't as difficult as i expected it to be so that's good.
tonight i'm prepping for an online test that i'm planning on writing later tonight. i'm also prepping for my presentation on psychometrics that's tomorrow morning.
i'm proud to say that this is only my 2nd cup of coffee for the day. we had loadshedding again so i couldn't work on my laptop for 2 hours. i did however pot my onion, celery and linseed that i started growing about a week ago. they look so pretty! i'll try and remember to post a pic of them tomorrow.
currently have my earphones in without playing music. am i the only one who does that?
anyway, who is ready to study?

Had a sunny morning for a change and decided to embrace it.

yep, that's my dog.
anyway
today i will only be focusing on studying for tomorrows psyc exam. we have loadshedding and the government keeps changing the times so I need to use daylight while i still have it.
i'm also getting behind my piano later to learn a new piece, i haven't played in years and it's definitely time to get back at it again.
regarding my studies, I'm using the pomodoro technique with 50/10 blocks again.
who has some suggestions for background classical music to listen to while studying?

i've got my candles lit and milo in my mug. you know things are getting real now lol. I'm currently summarising the work i'm presenting this friday in class. using a 'study with me' video that i found on youtube and i'm loving it. it has no music, only background noises, and just makes me feel like i'm sitting in a library instead of my noisy home.

Kinda feeling foggy today but i have so much to do. Will apply the pomodoro technique in 50/10 blocks. Going to try and get at least 5 hours of work done tonight.

- Prepare presentation on psychological assessments
