I just finished a week of products liability classes and I can already tell I'm going to have a field day rewatching mtl

Do you think you'll ever go back to playing with your mtl ocs? I miss your girls, and it was so fun to see them interacting with other ocs especially! That sense of community seems to be vanishing from the fandom lately :(

Aaa, thank you for thinking of me and my girls ;0; I've been really busy lately, and unfortunately I've been unable to keep up with fandom for a while. As a result I've been kind of hesitant to post oc stuff here, like if I make a post about Satenik the reaction would just be "who?" lmao. But yeah, I see what you mean, even if my distance from the community came from just not having the time to keep up lol.

I have been thinking about setting up a chill mtl tumblr community (I find them less overwhelming than discord weirdly enough), but idk how much effort goes into moderation

I keep thinking of different ideas for this episode

For the first time, Dethklok agrees to appear at a pride event after years of not accepting the invitation due to lack of business incentive. This is just because Nathan realizes how bad it would piss off the church. In all of his press appearances about the event, he makes sure to end each statement making sure everyone knows that he isn't gay.

(Pasting from my previous addition) Murderface is legitimately hurt by not being pursued by Charles. He copes by wearing more leather and being more overtly flirty with him (but not in a gay way). This culminates with him bursting in on a meeting Charles is holding with the record label (while wearing his Dethfashion outfit) and the scene plays out like a husband catching his partner cheating on him (pointing to label executive “what doesch thisch schlut have that I don’t?!”). Charles is beyond embarrassed and tries to assure the label that the bassist is just having a crisis of identity. Maybe they have a genuine conversation about sexuality, idk. Depends how sincere you want this episode to be.

Keeping my previous idea that Skwisgaar and Toki spend the episode arguing over who would be a bigger gay icon (Skwisgaar claims he's very popular in Europe among the gay population, but citation needed). To settle this once and for all, they both go to a gay bar in their sluttiest little outfits. Unfortunately, it's bear night so they get largely ignored.

In preparing for the pride event, Dethklok starts learning about gay culture, but not really. This results in them hetero-splaining stuff to Charles. Insert that "twinks and bears" scene from it's always sunny (but much more factually incorrect). Charles does not participate in this conversation - the band doesn't notice when he just leaves the meeting room while they're arguing amongst themselves.

At the pride event, Dethklok's involvement basically co-opts the aesthetic, turning it into another Dethklok thing. Like a reverse Rob Halford, metal is having a significant effect on the gay community (also he should be a guest voice).

Dethklok performs a song, again it's basically a death metal version of the Equal Rights song.

Episode ends with a brief introduction of Charles' leather daddy husband. Murderface laments that he never had a chance, and that realization resets his sexuality crisis for the next episode.

"Gentlemen, it appears that Dethklok is pandering to the gay community..."

A Metalocalypse episode concept I can see so vividly is one where the band finds out Charles is gay, and they start doing that typical straight guy “just don’t start hitting on me hahaha” thing. To which Charles reassures them that he’s professional and wouldn’t do anything to make them uncomfortable. Also they shouldn’t worry because none of them are his type.

That last comment causes everyone in the band to take psychic damage. They spend the rest of the episode obsessing and panicking over why Charles wouldn’t like them. Meanwhile Charles is just doing his job as normal.
