recently i’ve been reconnecting with my masculinity in a way that i really needed.

i am and always will be a trans woman but i’ve always felt disconnected from the concept of gender. a few years ago i adopted the label agender while still only using she/her pronouns and recently i changed to using any/all pronouns.

and i love it! i wear what i want to wear and look how i want to look, femme, masc, neither, and whatever! i get both sir’d ma’am’d depending on what im wearing and i get so many looks of confusion and double takes and it’s AMAZING.

and in doing so i’ve found that in discovering the full range of my authentic femininity, i had neglected and even alienated my masculinity. i told myself that it was unnecessary and even unwanted and neither was true.

getting sir’d and he/him’d in a way that is affirming to my genderless existence is something that i really needed to embrace the full range of myself, he, she, they, and everything outside and in between, and im learning to love myself more each day because of it.
