There is nothing wrong with saying "I don't like thing!!" unless:

1) you regularly say it unprompted and/or in direct response to other people talking about how they do like Thing

b) you say it with the belief that this is the One Correct Position and anyone who disagrees is A Fool™

We need to bring back elitism and what I DON'T mean by that is gatekeeping but I think people have internalized the idea that "let people enjoy things" means "don't be a snob" but we haven't actually quashed the human instinct to be a snob so now people want their opinions validated by trying to make them into moral issues and I say stop being a coward!!! let people think you're an elitist snob!!! Stop discoursing over whether the Sabrina Carpenter album cover is feminist or anti-feminist you're ALLOWED to say "I think it's tacky and gross"!!!
