every time the wardens do something fucked up i like them even more. this isn't about any game specifically but all of them. i fucking love the knockoff night's watch, i love that they guzzle nasty ichorous darkspawn blood that you'll die from 1) now or 2) in thirty years and how they don't tell their recruits until it's too late and the damage is done. i love their secrets and corruption and their heroism in the face of primordial darkness. i love warden leaders and warden recruits trying their best and the infighting that inevitably happens when they disagree.

One bit of obscure Dragon Age lore a day until Dragon Age: The Veilguard is released
A Legion of the Dead unit once stumbled upon an empty Archdemon prison below the ruins of Heidrun Thaig. They found old darkspawn corpses with heads pressed against the stone, positioned like they were praying. Despite the prison long standing vacant, a member of the Legion noted that the darkspawn who were chasing them through the Deep Roads wouldn't enter the prison chamber. Staying inside the cavern caused numbness and "stirred the brains". In a report to Orzammar, the Legionnaire who escaped the prison chamber wrote that he'd rather fight a darkspawn horde, or even face an actual Archdemon, than go back to that place: "whatever chains keep those monsters bound, I want nothing to do with. Even among the darkspawn, there are things unnatural."

File this under "dialogues that mean the world to me". For as much flak as Sebastian gets (unjustly sometimes I think) for being sanctimonious, he's also just incredibly kind. His money is where his mouth is. He sees a Fenris who is free but aimless, single-mindedly devoted to revenge, helping Hawke, and ambling around an empty mansion. And he wants genuinely to give him much-needed direction. Whether it's sanctimonious or not, it is very well-intentioned. A lot of his dialogues with Fenris are like this and it makes me smile. Love those funky kids.

they should have made you marry josephine right after duelling for her hand in public. for setting-appropriate cultural norms and propriety. and because it would be so deeply entertaining

I accidentally made the poll too short but please tell me anyway!!!
#talan adaar-lavellan#no not *yet*#I think it's definitely something he and Josie are planning on#but with everything always happening it just...hasn't happened yet#I think maybe the first time it came up was right before trespasser events#and then yknow...that happened#and Talan is wary of expanding their family and settling down any *more* while Solas is still out and about doing *something*#so it keeps getting out off#ultimately though I think they'd probably adopt little antivan street rats#something something saving them from becoming crows and the likes
