"You...you aren't...?" the question was asked in a tone that even surprised the Princess, herself. She could not recall the last time she had sounded so...tentative. So meek, so weak, so...vulnerable.
The blonde's stiff stature was slowly slackened and alleviated by the other's slow, careful motions, and Marina no longer felt like her chest was going to explode.
"Mother, I..." she started, but suddenly found herself at a loss for words.
She had absolutely no idea as to how she should react to such statements. A simple 'thank you' didn't seem like it would cut it...but then again, staying silent wouldn't cut it, either.
"Thank you," she gulped and inhaled for a second as she said this. "Thank you so much. And..."
She pulled her head away from the older's neck and cracked a small smile, before she fixed her watery eyes on her mother's warm cobalt orbs.
"...I think I'll be okay."
Softly petting her daughter she did her best to calm her… “Shh… It’s ok. I’m here. Mama’s here. We’re not mad at you.” she said softly. She had been in a similar situation, yet no one was there to scold her so she was only overjoyed at the new arrival.
"I didn’t exactly want you to follow exactly in my footsteps, but it’s done, and you’re no less of a princess for it. I’ll be having a word with my staff later. You gonna be alright, or do you still want me here?”

She almost immediately jumped into her mother's opens arms when she saw her, sniffling as she attempted to blink back the hot, angry tears that were blurring her vision. She bit back a frustrated sob as she pushed her head into the crook of the older's neck, not caring if she looked like a mess as of the moment.

“And what of Mother?! She was pregnant with me when she was sixteen! Does that make her unfit as a Queen? No! She can still walk, she can still talk, she can still do her duties and such in a responsible manner! She can still behave in a way that a Queen should!”
A deep inhale, “She is still capable of being a Queen! So what makes you think that I am incapable of being a Princess?!”
