”When we read the Word of God we are encountering Jesus Who is the Word Made Flesh. We are having a personal encounter with God who knows the desires of our hearts and gives us understanding of the words through the aid of the Holy Spirit. It is not a text that sits passively while you digest. Instead, through it, God actively works in you.
So the next time you feel like you are slogging through Scripture unsure of how it applies to you, remember that the Holy Spirit is in those words, and He is passionately working within you as you read—luckily, whether you are conscious of it or not.”

“I’m thankful that God hasn’t let me go, because I’ve let Him go, lots of times. He rescued me and continues to amaze me with things that are beyond what I deserve for myself.”

Finding Trust
If there’s anything I set out to do that looks daunting or difficult, I pause and realise that I am looking at it through my eyes.
This means I am thinking of how to get it done with my strength and might. But if I am willing to allow the Holy Spirit help me, the situation will not change ; but my perspective will.
Truly trusting God is peace.

Finding Patience
When we start to pray for a loved one or a friend to find Jesus. The effect is never immediate. But the key is patience - patience with God and with them.
Keep praying and speaking to them as led by the Holy Spirit and you will be surprised how God will turn things around. When he does - you’ll smile.

When we say “God is good” we don’t mean that God is kind of like other things that are good. We mean that God is the standard that we measure all good things by. Something is only “good” as far as it is like God. It’s not like there’s is a checklist of traits that God meets. God is the standard. God is good.

Decide today what your treasure is.
Anything/anyone that is taking Gods place, taking the large proportion of your time is leading you to neglect your father. You need to prioritise where/what you spend your time on.
Where your treasure is, your heart will be also.

“You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so: He who counts the stars, and calls them by their names, is in no danger of forgetting His own children. He knows your case as thoroughly as if you were the only creature He ever made, or the only saint He ever loved. Approach Him and be at peace.”

“We live in a day in which false doctrine abounds on every hand and the only Christian who is safe from being led into error is the one who studies his Bible for himself daily.”

“We know Satan will attack weak spots first. Forty days of fasting left Jesus famished, so Satan began with the topic of bread. Jesus’ stomach was empty, so to the stomach Satan turned. Where are you empty? Are you hungry for attention, craving success, longing for intimacy? Be aware of your weaknesses. Bring them to God before Satan brings them to you.”
