A few moons after the beginning of the clan, Duskpaw was old enough to be apprenticed. On her first outing as an apprentice, she got a little too close to the otter pups on the Fernclan side of the river and was attacked by their mother. Frozenpaw and Violetpaw jumped to their junior's defense, keeping the young apprentice from further harm and driving the otters back to the river.

on their return to the camp, Bravestar gave the elder two apprentices their warrior names, Violetwind and Frozencreek, making them the first new warriors of Fernclan

The Story Begins

Bravesong was an honorable cat, that was simply how she'd always been. So when her former clan leader had refused to follow the code, putting the lives of two innocent kits in danger? She left. That was no longer the clan she knew. She didn't leave alone though. Her mate Willowdrift and their apprentices, Violetpaw and Frozenpaw, along with the formerly retired medicine cat and the current medicine cat's apprentice chose to leave with her. Taking with them kits her former leader would've left to the wilds to die, the group set out to form a new clan under Bravesong's leadership.

She made her trip to Moon Caves, and received her nine lives from starclan that very moon, officially becoming the first leader of Fernclan with Willowdrift at her side as her deputy.
