I really enjoy the Strike and Robin books (I devour 1000 pages in a week and it feels so good) but I do have some slight criticisms. I feel like with every book I've read so far, the reveal in the end is slightly less satisfying than I'm expecting. And I feel like some loose ends are always there, some information that's lacking. I understand red herrings are necessary, but I want those red herrings to also feel satisfying, in a way like, the reveal in the end ties *everything* up, every piece of information and even the red herrings aren't just randomly in there without explanation at the end... Ink Black Heart was the most recent one I read and I felt like this for the third time. I'll keep reading them of course since I really like everything besides the endings
