Playing with Joey Batey was easy. He’s perfect Jaskier and a great counterpoint to Geralt. Joey does all the work in comedy scenes. My task is to answer with just one look or a word. the scene in 1x04 after geralt has rescued jaskier from that noble who accused him of sleeping with his wife. I will never be over how unbelievably fond geralt looks there. first he's all smug and jokey, then he's amused by jaskier's ranting, then his eyes are all soft and he tilts his head and he smiles at jaskier and his voice deepens (is that even possible??) anyway he's so soft and just fond I can't deal with it!!

Y'all...Jaskier's soft, "No, I'm just trying to work out what...pleases me" in the same breath as reflecting on the briefness of life and suggesting that he and Geralt go away together was PAINFULLY gay and shook me to my very core.

I kind of want to read the witcher books but I am afraid that several books of Geralt loving Yen instead of Jaskier will break my heart.
