I recently made a post of tma characters' handwriting and I wanted to try the same thing for the penumbra. I may do more but, for now, here's the crime family:

For Nureyev I wanted to give him a slightly different style per alias (because that is absolutely a thing he spends hours perfecting) but have them still all kinda look like they were written by the same person. It took a while to get the right balance of similar but distinct

im just going to make a whole series of actual picture books based on a guest for mr spider except mr spider experiences the real-world hardships of life as an orb-weaver. if you read them you still get eaten but at least you die knowing more spider ecosystem facts

Okay but why has no one talked about the fact that during a time of crisis, Teller hears Midland and Radio Bob’s voices in his head telling him what to do? Because that shit is too cute and it deserves to be brought up. When the bomb was literally seconds from going off, in an incredibly tense few moments when Teller didn’t even have time to fully consciously think, his brain conjures up a way to help him solve the problem so Teller and people he cares about don’t die. And that solution? The thing his subconscious finds trusting and reassuring? It’s his team. It’s Midland and Bob both snarking at Teller and walking him through whatever steps he needs to take to successfully disarm the bomb. That is adorable. Like his brain is under immense stress and all it can think to do is say, “hey, these two weirdos have your back, you can trust them.” Like I said, that shit is cute.

The combined force of Hera, Jacobi, and Eiffel chanting for McDonalds could send the station careening into deep space and a single glare from Minkowski could send it slinking back into orbit around the star

Lovelace orders chicken nuggets for the kids AND black coffee for herself

Lambert has little boxed lunches in the car in case anyone gets any big McDonalds-based ideas

Maxwell’s desire for McDonalds increases exponentially with her proximity to Jacobi, otherwise she’d be at home eating microwave rice and a handful of peanuts

Kepler is actually a 4th alignment where he buys McDonalds but only for himself

Wolf 359 Characters, according to how good they are at hugging:

Eiffel -  When he goes in for the hug most people don’t think they want to hug this slightly smelly trash panda. Actually it’s like hugging a sweet old dog. Surprisingly makes people feel better.

Minkowski - THE BEST HUGS which would surprise anyone given how tough on the outside she seems (it’s the theatre). She rubs people’s backs and its nice. 

Hilbert -  No one should hug him tbh. He’s bad at it and gets all stiff and doesn’t know what to do with it at all. Doesn’t want to be good at hugging. 

Hera - If she had a body she’d be a sweet hugger. She’d pat a person’s back a lot but still hug for a long time. Comforting. 

Lovelace - Is bad at hugging in a clumsy way but wants to get better at it. Occasionally will hug a person too hard and make them feel like their spine is squashed but ultimately is good at making them feel safe.

Kepler - EXTRAORDINARILY BAD FEELINGS HUG if he hugs someone without permission (which he always does) it gives them a yucky feeling even though he seems to want them to be comforted by it. 

Maxwell - Can hug but doesn’t want to be good at it. Will almost never voluntarily hug, but has learned enough of how to act to reciprocate a hug if necessary..

Jacobi -  VERY PICKY ABOUT WHO HE HUGS but is ultimately a good hugger. The only person alive to enjoy Kepler’s hugs. Likes to squeeze people’s shoulders when he hugs them, like with one hand.
