Killjoy's seemed like a nice enough bar in that nobody had attempted to kill her yet. Weren't they supposed to? It was okay though. If anyone tried anything, she could throw a mean right hook now. One second, they'd be standing and the next? Well, they would be down on the floor because she had knocked their lights out with one punch. It was very unlikely that was going to happen though so she would settle for playing on their fears to get out of the situation. Yeah, that would probably work best. She looked up at the pretty bartender as her drink was placed in front of her. "Oh, thank you. I forgot I..." She didn't even remember what she ordered. "What was this again? Or did you just give me a free drink because you think I'm cute? Please see the latter."

"Yeah, blades and stuff. You know..." She paused to pretend to use a sword and swung her hands back and forth. Actually, it probably looked more like she was using a lightsaber. Well, that was pretty much the same thing. Were lightsabers more dangerous than swords? She'd have to look into that. Lightsabers could burn you, but swords could, you know, cut you. Whatever. It didn't matter. She wanted to learn how to use either. "I would never try to kick your ass. What kind of person do you take me for?" Nabi was no fighter by any means and she had never pretended to be. Honestly, it seemed about right that she had gotten her head popped like a watermelon before everything else had happened. That was so crazy. "Yeah, you'll help me learn how to fight. I'm sure we can spar or something. I promise I won't go for your hip. You know, since you're old."
"Blades and stuff," Abel had a good chuckle at that; his power and momentum came from the magic he'd studied. The Castle had fallen into trouble as a younger man but he couldn't say he was well versed in wielding blades and weaponry; as a former Marshal, such title was more of a do-gooder than someone appointed with weapons. "If you wanted to kick my ass, Nabi, all you had to do was say so," he'd give it a try; though Death had swept forth into his life momentarily, Abel had managed to make it through the battle with the sacrifice of the Six; perhaps Nabi and him would be helping each other. "Sure, I'll help you learn how to fight," the emphasis made him grin; he could throw a punch but that'd always been the extent of it.

“Oh, cool. You’re better than me. I would’ve immediately taken your gelato from you.” Well, not every single time. She would’ve actually bought him a gelato if she even remembered getting it in the first place. What else had she bought in her stupor? So many things to think about, so little time. Actually, that wasn’t true. She had so much time now. She was immortal. She almost smiled at that until she thought about the fact that Nathan and Abel weren’t immortal. And they were already old. Oh, she didn’t want to think about that at all. They were going to turn to dust soon. “Thanks. I’m proud of me, too. But your praise means much more so…” She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, but she was smiling the whole time. She blocked it from him by taking a bite of the gelato. “I don’t know if I can say I made friends. I think Cloe thinks I’m stupid.”
"I'm not taking your gelato from you." It looked good though, "We can split it." Nathan leaned on his elbows onto the counter, the trajectory of Nabi's entire life had changed over the course of a couple weeks. Marshal. Eladrin. Immortal, he wondered how much of that the young daydreamer had really thought about. "Yeah Nabs," Nathan was unnecessarily emotional for a moment, "I'm proud of you." He went to the kitchen to grab his own spoon before he appeared again and stuck it into the gelato. "How's the marshal life treating you? Liking it? Made any friends?"

"Hey, I would never say you're old and turning to dust." She paused before continuing. "To your face at least." A slight laugh fell out of her mouth at her own joke. Nabi was so funny sometimes, she really couldn't not laugh at herself. It was easy to really get under men's skin, but she didn't do it often to Nathan and Abel. She loved them too much and they were really nice to her. Honestly, she wasn't sure what it was that made her gravitate towards them, but she was glad that they hadn't pushed her away. Her own mother had forgotten about her so it was enough to have people that cared. "You should teach me how to fight. With blades and stuff."
a starter for @fearnabi,
Abel was doing his best not to sound like an overbearing parent, Nabi was capable but she had her moments of basically losing the plot. "I mean it, I know you're going to say I'm old and turning to dust, but if you needed help with anything at all, I'm willing to help." He smiled reassuringly, Nabi was blase as ever about the whole thing and Abel felt a little more at ease to see she took the promotion with stride. "How are you managing with everything else?" Getting a job amongst the Senate was one thing, but changing into another species entirely had to come with growing pains.

To be honest, Nabi had not been aware of what she was doing. Most of the time, she just started walking and fell into the most vivid daydream. After a while, it felt like she just ended up in a place she hadn't meant to be in. It was usually dangerous so the fact that Cloe had held a sword up to her throat was not all that surprising a situation. She wasn't even sure how she had ended up exactly where Zoey was. She had been thinking of her mom and wondering if the woman was going to come back. It was...sad so she tried to forget about it by letting herself wander off into a different world for a little bit. That was how she had ended up here and she wished she hadn't. "I wasn't looking for you." She paused and looked around. "I was just...I actually don't know."
who? @fearnabi where? fey forest, one clearing near where the village is being built notes: doing the randomize top songs thing and could have been me by the struts
The sword she holds to Nabi's throat is enough to tell her she hadn't been paying attention. Wincing, she pulls it back and pulls her magic back, pushing the animation back into her skin as she sends the other an apologetic look. Cloe had lost herself in the moment, her anger escaping her as she used small animations made from earth to practice her reflexes. She should have known Nabi was approaching but she was too focused to pay attention to her clairvoyance warnings.
She really needs to do better.
"Sorry Nabi, I didn't realize it was you," she admits with a grimace as she steps away and reaches for her bottle of water, taking a long sip as she looks at the other curiously. "Were you looking for me for a reason?"

Nabi's mother had mentioned Logon once upon a time and, by association, the people that knew him. She hadn't ever really heard much about Lia though. Maybe it was because they had been from different courts, but there wasn't a lot of information she knew about the dawn elf. Two facts were all she had. One was that she was Logon's sister. Two was that she was something of an ambassador for the elves. See, the totally paid attention during those meetings. She looked down in the pit and then back up at Lia. "Uh...okay. My mom was in the summer court. I don't know if you knew her. She used fire and water. If one doesn't work, maybe the other will." This was all so exciting to her, she almost couldn't contain it.
who: @fearnabi where: Fairy Forest
"I want to help." She stepped in spring everywhere she went, flowers bloomed underneath her heel and daisies sprouted from the grass underneath. Lia had always been a lover not a fighter and as an ambassador she wanted to bridge the gap that existed between the high elves and the Eladrin. Her heart ached at the knowledge that she might not have lost her children if they had been borne in this era. "You're something new altogether but you are gifted with manipulation of an element and let's try to find it my dear. Where would you like to start? Perhaps fire?" Conjuring flame in the makeshift pit.

It seemed everything was coming up Compro Oro. Nathan was a senator now and here Luna and Nabi were as marshals. It was pretty crazy. Their little band of misfits were all in leadership positions. Nabi still couldn't believe it, but she also figured she was the clearly obvious choice for eladrin leadership. Outside of Cloe, of course. Well, actually, she had a very horrible inflated ego when it came to that sort of thing so really she thought she was the prime candidate for anything eladrin related. She wasn't a full fey, but she was still going to be called one and that was what mattered. She couldn't kissed Luna on the lips right now. The former faiman didn't, but the thought had crossed her mind for a moment as she walked into the shop. "Did you know Nathan calls me Nabs because it's similar to stealing?" She leaned against the counter. "I think, anyway. Who put any of us in charge? Blink twice if they need help, right," she said jokingly and held a hand up to her forehead for dramaticism.
who: @fearnabi where: Compro Ono
She couldn't forgot all the terrible things she did and so she had to find a way to make peace with it, when she closed her eyes, she saw sprays of blood and sinew being ripped apart by her creatures. When she awoke, she was grateful that it was only the changelings that awaited her instead of the Wyverns, Serpents and drakes that she had bent to her will. She hated that she felt a loss of power, she didn't have the strength that the Great Old One who once possessed her did. It made her want to give in easily to feel the eldritch creatures follow her with devotion. Still she was never alone as the Eldritch creatures that still existed in this realm awaited their leader. The bell chimed overhead and she saw Nabi enter. "Hey, can you believe they made us marshals? Who looked at us and decided that one was right for responsibilities?"

Nabi wasn't sure how she had gotten here, but she had ended up here anyway. It was interesting what happened when her maladaptive daydreaming took over. Sometimes, she wouldn't even be aware of what was happening until she was walking in the middle of the street and someone was honking at her to move out of the way. Certainly wasn't safe, but it wasn't like she could control it. This time, it looked like she had gotten some gelato. Well, at least she had that. Then again, she was also late for work so maybe it wasn't as good of a thing to wake up to as she thought. Blinking her eyes a few times, she shook her head and then looked at Nathan. "I didn't mean to get this gelato." She looked down at in her hand, brows furrowing together before a smile lifted onto her face. The last thing she wanted was to look lost. "Here. You can have mine." She gently slid it across the counter as a peace offering. "I made it to the marshal meeting on time though. Does that help? Maybe? Possibly?" She held her hands under her chin and batted her eyes a few times over the puppy dog look she was giving him.
@fearnabi location: Compro Oro notes: you're late again smh
From Nathan's place behind the counter he watched Nabi through the window, she was on the other side of the street window shopping and wandering around. Not a single care in the world, was that gelato in her hand? At a leisurely pace she strolled across the street and then stepped into the shop as if she was more sleepwalking than actually heading into work. "You're late Nabs, again: you're not just late you were supposed to open, the shop didn't open until noon when I came in." Did she even know she was supposed to work today, he pointed towards the gelato in her hand, "Did you at least bring me one?"
