What influenced Mike's 180 regarding his decision to raise a son?
Mike was pretty neutral to the idea of children before Doll. He didn't really see him raising anything successfully, although once he found out Doll was pregnant, and then subsequently cradled Caden in his arms, he was so board with the idea. This was also years after constant exposure to children once he started working dayshifts, and subsequently got an idea for looking out for a kid once he met Jeremy, so he was sort of softened by the time Caden came around lol.
With that being said, Mike would've never been a deadbeat. Funnily enough, he gets that from his dad.

How did Mike's road towards recovery go following the bite?
Mike's recovery was long and arduous, but also a miracle in and of itself. Emerging from his coma, Mike was pretty much a vegetable while everyone and his body worked to repair the internal damage he had going on. His brain was so badly swollen and bruised that he couldn't form sentences, much less understand them, and he had quite the orbital bruising for several weeks. He also had several seizures, a few of which would've probably been fatal had he not had any supernatural influence helping him out. For the next three years, he pretty much stared off to space most of the time and chewed on his own cheek if he wasn't being directly engaged with.
Once his brain knit itself back together as much as it feasibly could, Mike still spent several years being known as the "slow" kid. He couldn't really talk using more than a few words, and he slurred them together. Couldn't really pick up and use a spoon either. Of course, the gift kicks in and eventually allows him to at least talk and move on his own, and start throwing down on the blacktop once it increases his aggression tenfold, but Mike doesn't really regain any sort of normalcy until well into his adult years.

How did Marie Schmidt die?
She was about to get off of work at 8:30 PM when her supervisor pulled her aside. He told her that partner, William, called and said there'd been an accident, and that their son was in the hospital. She was too frantic to wait for a bus, so she instead rushed to the hospital on foot.
On the way, a mugger dragged her to an alleyway, stabbed her, and quite violent took everything she had before leaving her to die. She was so weak and sore from blood loss that she couldn't even call out for help, and without anything to stop the bleeding, she bled out and died.

In a world where William was incarcerated and had to deal with Vanny, I can only imagine the sinking feeling of dread when he hears a new inmate is coming. Then Vanny arrives.. (It becomes that one meme of William screaming for Mike.)
William definitely groaning a loud ass, "OH BROTHER" anytime she comes by LMAO
I can't even say it would be thinly veiled disdain either. Like I feel like William would be very openly annoyed with Vanny and she just wouldn't care LOL 🌈 And then at some point a few years down the line he acquiesces to her company because she's really the only person who talks to him. Not the most popular inmates on the block huh

How did Fritz Smith's experience in dance and gymnastics go?
That was pretty much going to be his main choice as a career before he busted his knee up. He's actually quite graceful, and since he's short and flexible and has tons of upper body strength, he was actually pretty good at it. He was best at floor, second would be pommel horse.
He usually was the only boy, so spending so much time after school with girls made him loads less obnoxious about girls than other guys his age. He actually got significantly less teasing in school because he got to rub this fact in their faces lol.
He wanted to go to the Olympics, since he had gone to nationals already, but pretty much dashed away that chance after landing wrong. He dislocated his knee and ruptured several ligaments in his leg, and that still wasn't as painful as him immediately knowing that he just marked the end of his career. He was so upset with himself that he stepped away from it completely; he didn't even want to become a coach or a teacher.
He still regularly takes dance when he can, because it's not as taxing as gymnastics, although he's pretty much bound to slower tempo music haha. Now the hurt has worn off enough that he'll sometimes attend local gymnastics meets or watch events on television. Sometimes he'll even lift himself up on two surfaces and pretend he's doing a routine again.

Was William a good dad to his kids in your AU?
For everything that William did, he actually really did love his kids. He was very family-oriented (that's pretty much what motivated him to kill, after all), even when he was young, because he never really got a true family experience until he joined Henry's family. He was just suuuuper young when he became a dad, and considering he had to keep his identity as the father hidden, he wasn't really active in their lives until he became 18, but once he was, they loved him and he loved them

[In response to the Milfs and Afton question] Wait- what did Mike's mom do? You're not saying that she..
No! At least not in the traditional sense. But Marie was 4 years older than William, and she was already 19 when they had their first kid.

does Doll ever tell their kid about mike and william springtrap or does she keep it a secret?
I think Doll would probably save that conversation for when their kid is older. The topic is pretty heavy to lay on a child, so I'm sure she'd only mention it when he's an older teenager, that way Caden, their son, can grasp the full implications behind Mike's death. She also doesn't really know the full story- Mike, after having a revelation about his past, does tell her about William and the night of the murders, because that's a pretty big thing to keep from your spouse- but he leaves The Gift of Life to avoid sounding mentally unwell. (She, of course, already knows about the brain injury.) 🎈
Anything that Doll wasn't fully clear on, she'd most likely ask Jeremy to clear it up, since he was the second most involved person in Mike's life, and was the only other person Doll was aware experienced something similar while working at Freddy's over the years (Jeremy, too, never mentions The Gift of Life, but he is able to round out other details that Mike was spotty on).

Is there a possibility of who caused the hit-and-run incident that led to Afton committing the murders?
Yes! I touch on it here a bit in this post, but the short version of it goes that William and Cassidy witness a hit-and-run of one of Henry's children. They don't see the driver or the license plate, but they do see a car seat in the back, and both remember the type of car. It wasn't a very common car, but still plentiful enough that the police can't trace it back to the perpetrator, so the case goes unsolved.
William can't let it go, though, and he spends several years looking into the drivers of each car as he encounters them based on what he knows. William narrows it down to four families- the respective families of The Five Missing Children- and knows it has to be one of them, but can't narrow it down any further. And when they're all present at Freddy's the same day by chance, he doesn't want to let the opportunity pass him by...
I covered a tab bit of the hit-and-run in this fic here, but it's more from the perspective of Cassidy, with William only a blimp in it all.

How did Mike meet his future love?
Mike and Doll attended the same high school, and they were in the same English class. Mike appeared midway through the year after getting expelled from his last school, so he stood out like a sore thumb thanks to his lack of social associations, his intimidating face, and his "funny way of speaking," thanks to the TBI he obtained from the Bite. Because of that, he spoke very little in class. That didn't stop Doll from developing a crush, not at all put off by his "mean" demeanor.
She hatched a plan and offered to tutor him in English after class, which was really just an excuse to get closer to him. She also felt bad for the way he got teased, having memories of her own getting made fun of from her large facial birthmark, so she wanted to reach out and show him the world wasn't all bad. Mike took a bit to warm up to her at first, since he thought she was trying to trick him, but eventually realized Doll was just trying to be his friend.
Mike eventually fell really hard for Doll, not just because she was the first girl who ever approached him, but because what wasn't to love about her? She was smart, friendly, had a wonderful laugh...for the longest time, he never said a word about it because he knew he wasn't good enough for her, and that's what drove him to try and do better in school. They started dating in senior year, and it was thanks to her help that he graduated with decent grades.
From then on, Mike wants to propose because he's pretty much in love, and Doll is eager about the idea, too, but he realizes that, if he wants to make a good impression to her disapproving dad, he needs to show that he can support his future wife, and if he wants money and a place to live, then he needs a job. And, well, we know how that goes...

I guess one last question on Willy.. what awaits him in the end? UCN? Eternal nothing? Maybe even an eternity stuck in a reality where nobody like Mike, Felicity, Marie or Elizabeth recognize him?
Personally I like to think he got beamed straight down to Hell

Ayyyyy I see you're a fellow milf enjoyer Willie.
See in retrospect I feel bad for saying that because, while it's true William likes older women AND it was meant to be a gag more than anything, what actually happened with William was more serious that what was initially said

Henry is less of a greedy businessman and more of a sensitive creator taken advantage of by a corporation. He loses his will to live after losing both custody and the lives of some of his children, and as a grieving father, he couldn’t have cared less about the diner anymore. He’s lost the desire to work on the business and lets someone else take it into their own hands. Fazbear Entertainment appointed him as the owner of the Location A establishment, because they promised a steady income after he sold the rights, but even the mere thought of stepping into that office makes him sick to his stomach. He lives in a deep depressive state every day that’s only exacerbated by stepping into the restaurant, and if he were still engaged enough with life to realize what happened, he would’ve hated what the restaurant has become.

So what lead to the creation of The Video Archive Fright Guard?
Tumblr media
I had a lot of regrets when it came to the creation of Mercy's character; she started as a bit of a self-insert lololol, which I'm not too much of a fan of doing of now that I'm older. This is something I sort of rectified by adding Erin, but that didn't solve the main issue of me being dissatisfied with my interpretation of the Fright Guard.
I created the Fright Guard and Phone dude while I was still in the midst of being dissatisfied with their characters, but after having rewritten and polished off all of the FF crew, I realized how unnecessary it was to add more guards, so I did away with them once again.
Now we have Mercy...this time injected with a few of the traits from the rewritten replacement for her!

AU where Mercy survives Fazbear's Fright burning down.
In this AU, Mercy makes it out by the skin of her teeth and with an ounce of awareness to spare. She had to spend a few hours in the ER breathing in pure oxygen and recovering from minor burns, and then had to go home and rub the soot off her face, but it was a miracle that she didn't die.
You'd think nearly burning to death would put you off cigarettes, but Mercy still smokes even after the fire. Considering her history of breathing in dangerous shit that shouldn't be on fire, I imagine her smoking habits would catch up to her around the age of 35-years-old, but not in a fatal way. More in a "hacking up black phlegm" way.
Despite nearly dying, and because she never learns, she'd probably be back the next year to work at Fazbear Frights, although probably more as a curator or weekend shift help instead of the regular gig work she used to do. She'd probably keep partying with Luke every weekend and work her way through college, the end. There's really not much to it with her. Just reckless college-aged kids and all.
Funnily enough, Mercy was originally supposed to survive the fire, and the eye scar was a result of that. I forgot when I swapped it around, but now it's eye scar, THEN ultimate demise. Ouch.

So, if the gaurd from Fazbear Frights died in a fire but it's still open does that mean the fire only killed her? And didn't burn down the whole building or?
The first Fazbear Frights building was pretty much a loss after it burned down. Some stuff got recovered (since a good bit of it was being stored on a off-site storage unit), but the amount of flammable material and poor wiring meant the building was basically done for. The attraction's opening date kept getting pushed back and delayed, and since the amusement park wasn't open at like five in the morning anyway, she was the only fatality, although some people trying to help did suffer some minor burns.
Fazbear Frights relocates and reopens in another building at the same amusement park the following year, this time in a building that's more up to code, although none of the original crew are involved. It acts more like a horror-themed, interactive museum rather than a standard walkthrough horror attraction like before, that way it could stay open year-round.
