I guess I fall under that umbrella? Been abused by men, and can be nervous when I see a man get angry, but the important thing is learning how to overcome that fear and heal so that you can be accepting and warm to others. I've been seriously hurt by men but I don't let that stop me from connecting with them. I still laugh with my male friends, and if they are mad at something (as we all get angry sometimes) I know how to calm my body down so they I can be a good supportive friend. Your fears and thoughts don't define you but your actions do. Therapy and mindfullness does wonders, as well as having supportive friends that understands why you might be shy and helps encourage you to grow and learn to calm your body a bit
are you accepting of people who unconsciously and involuntarily internally react to certain things that make them remember their trauma? (examples after choices)
• very much
• yeah
• meh idrc
• nah
• more like excepting
• I am a person with a condition like that
• I have never met somebody or heard of somebody that had a condition like that and for some reason I can't use my basic imagination
(EG. A person involuntarily connecting a random stranger to their abuser since both were tan men. A person who is unknowingly more of a people pleaser for women since they were forced to be by an abuser who was a woman. A person who unconsciously is grossed out by gay people since their abuser was a gay person.)

That's not true at all. The human brain continues to develop past 25. The only reason that is said is because the team that conducted the research stopped the study at around that age and just picked that number. The brain doesn't have a set timeline of milestone growths, everyone is different.
These men just stole the personal information of everyone in America AND control the Treasury. Link to article.

Mixed, I've seen Hispanic representation but it's always Mexican :( would be nice to see someone take a look at South America, we have some quite wonderful cultures here too. Also maybe it would also help dispel the common belief that Hispanic = brown skin always.
Have you ever seen your ethnicity represented in media? Are you a person of colour? 1. Yes + Yes 2. Yes + No 3. No + Yes 4. No + No 5. Yes + Mixed (partially white) 6. No + Mixed (partially white) 7. Yes + Mixed (non-white) 8. No + Mixed (non-white) 9. Other/Nuance 10. Results
I'm separated mixed people from the general, just because I think being mixed impacts your likelihood of getting representation by a lot, especially when you're non-white.

Oooh my super apologies, I had no idea, a friend recommended it to me and that's my fault for not digging more into the company beyond researching the privacy aspect of it. I do adore Firefox, and I use it as my main and only browser on my PC, but the only downside I find that still hasn't had a solution yet is group tabbing on mobile. I don't know why no one has made one, maybe it doesn't work on Firefox based browsers on android? I easily accumulate tabs and like to organize them, but unfortunately Firefox has no extension on mobile for that. Otherwise I would have long ditched my last chromium based stuff long ago. Thank you for the suggestions, I'll try Vivaldi, ad I see that one is available for mobile and had tab stacking.
Don’t let Chrome’s big redesign distract you from the fact that Chrome’s invasive new ad platform, ridiculously branded the “Privacy Sandbox,” is also getting a widespread rollout in Chrome today. If you haven’t been following this, this feature will track the web pages you visit and generate a list of advertising topics that it will share with web pages whenever they ask, and it’s built directly into the Chrome browser. It’s been in the news previously as “FLoC” and then the “Topics API,” and despite widespread opposition from just about every non-advertiser in the world, Google owns Chrome and is one of the world’s biggest advertising companies, so this is being railroaded into the production builds.
Use Firefox.

No problem, I hope you are able to take some time to breathe and recover. Autistic burnout is terrible, and our communities are there so we can uplift and help each other when we can :) good luck!
Hi, I have a question, I am autistic and last week I was completely in burnout, I was really sensitive and easily overwhelmed, I didn't have the energy to do anything and I struggled with even taking a shower. That affected me a lot, especially in school, so I tried to talk about it to my class coordinator but he just couldn't understand, even though he was really kind. Does anyone have tips to explain an autistic burnout to someone neurotipical? Thank you, have a nice day ❤️

I find that most neurotypicals have experienced burn out at some point in their lives, as everyone is capable over overworking themselves past their limit. Of course we attain burnnout easier and experience them differently compared to neurotypicals, but some of the symptoms are still a connecting point that they can understand. Feeling fatigued and overwhelmed is universal in everyone. Maybe they won't understand the sensory aspect or all the other bits that suck with those symptoms, but at the very least I found it easier to just frame it as the symptoms they can understand (burnout causing tiredness, low energy, overwhelmed) and that it feels like the environment around you is amplifying those symptoms further.
(Joking) And if they still don't get THAT...tell them they should market whatever they got going on to not have ever experienced tiredness and low energy from working too much lol.

As for watching YouTube on mobile, try using Newpipe, it's pretty much a YouTube app but no ads, you can play in the background, and can download videos too! Less of a battery drain than if you watch YouTube on mobile browsers.

Thank you for saying this, it's a small bit of comfort in this hellish time. Ngl I'm still fucking terrified at the precedent it will set if we don't fight this hard. As someone hispanic that wasn't born in the US and immigrated here as a child along with my family, I'm fucking terrified at all this. I feel so much for my fellow Hispanic/latinos and everything feels shitty and almost hopeless. Thank you for reminding that we can fight.
i watched the livestream of trump signing executive orders and answering questions from the press. here are some of the big ones + other things mentioned today:
trump declared a national emergency at the southern border + is getting the US military more involved in stopping "invasions including mass migration"
no one can declare asylum in the US
all existing appointments for people wanting to legally become US citizens are canceled
birthright citizenship (aka the 14th amendment) is now gone
ICE sweeps beginning "soon," not specifying when (though there are rumors it's starting tomorrow in sanctuary cities such as chicago)
mexican cartels are now designated "foreign terrorist organizations" and trump is not opposed to US troops entering mexico to eliminate them
he restored the death penalty for "crimes committed by illegal aliens"
biden had signed an executive order attempting to stop cops from using chokeholds or doing no-knock warrants. trump just revoked that order
25% tariffs on canada and mexico begin on feb 1 2025 — expect a lot of produce imported from mexico to get more expensive soon
tariffs on china will begin soon, not specified when
trump said he intends to take back the panama canal, did not specify when or how
january 6 insurrectionists are to be immediately released/pardoned
he pardoned the leader of the proud boys
tiktok has a 90 day extension, during which the US gov will try to buy 50% of tiktok. trump said he no longer cares that china is "spying on our young people," but he wants to buy half of tiktok so the US government "can police it a little bit, or a lot." if tiktok will not sell, it will be banned in the US again.
he claims the people of greenland want to become part of the US
he says the gulf of mexico is now to be called the "gulf of america" + denali is now to be called "mount mckinley"
alaska is to be mined and become the US' main source for fossil fuels
the green new deal and "electric vehicle" (green energy) mandates are over
the US has withdrawn from the paris climate agreement
the US has withdrawn from the world health organization
reproductiverights.gov is already gone
the US now "only recognizes two genders, male and female"
trans women prisoners are to be housed in male prisons; gender affirming care for prisoners is gone
self-identification for gender on passports, government IDs, and social security cards is gone
all federal employees are required to work in the office five days a week, no more working from home
trump said the US is going to "pursue our manifest destiny into the stars" and plant a US flag on mars
sources on what executive orders were signed: one two three
and lastly, some things that happened during the inauguration:
the pastor who blessed the inauguration during the swearing in ceremony has already announced a new meme coin/cryptocurrency
trump did not put his hand on the bible + there are rumors the pope is going to say trump is the antichrist
the wealthiest people on the planet — the CEOs of twitter/tesla, amazon, google, meta, and even the CEO of tiktok — who own almost all communication platforms used by westerners — stood directly behind trump as he was sworn in
elon musk, the wealthiest person alive, who has been given his own vaguely-defined US government agency, did a nazi salute on stage at the presidential podium. neo-nazis are already celebrating

What, not being interested in attending their concert is equivalent to hating her now?? Jeez, I just don't care to go to a concert if it's music I'm not into
If I gave you a totally free ticket to a Taylor Swift concert, would you go?
