Starscream is a Seeker. Seekers are a special kind o' bot. They have a very complex culture and history. One thing in their culture is their fear of death 'n dead things.

They're so scared of it that they won't even talk to Hearses if they can avoid it, because they think that much indirect contact with the dead is enough to be a death sentence themselves. Why exactly they formed that belief, I dunno. I doubt they know.

You holdin' up that corpse is activatin' the part of him that tells abody that there's something creepin' around the next corner.

Usually when kids get morbid interests like that, it's not actually on the parents. Sometimes they have somethin' goin' on independant of their home life. Sometimes their brain chemistry's just at an awkward stage and doesn't know how to interpret information anymore.
